That was my reasoning too - at 37 he's past his lethal best but, bags of nous still.
Who are you all talking about?

It seems like every team has struggled with injuries this season tbh. Either the overall quality of physio and rehab is getting worse or the ever increasing pace and intensity of the game is taking its toll added to the hectic schedules.I think we should've just eased players back slower with minutes solely coming from the bench in the first few games/weeks. How they reintroduced Adama was fantastic.
It's all hindsight though so it's complete bollocks really. I suspect the injury record next year will be fine, as they'll get a full and tough pre season and hopefully plenty of pre season games too
I don't think changing the schedule and fixtures for the world cup helped either.added to the hectic schedules.
Hadn't he been injured for a while, 29, from a lower league club, think that was our old recruitment policy...Short of a miracle for Sheff Wed, I’d like to see us go for Windass. I think he’s add that same thing that Connolly can.
Maybe I’m just going for him because of Deano?
Brad Fash says hello.Had a similar discussion with my mate the other day about a Hull FC player who currently has the most embarrassing mullet hairstyle you can imagine. I told him none of the head coaches I worked under would have him in the sqaud looking like that. When you're trying to build a strong team mentality no single player should be carrying on like a clown trying to be the centre of attention.
I'm sure there will be plenty of people on here who also adhere to the white (or coloured) boots rule. You earn the right to wear footwear like that and I would suggest Connoly is currently at the stage of his career where he should be greatful he is still getting paid given his contribution to any of the clubs he has played for!
A certain someone scored a certain goal for us when he was 39he's absolutely past it
The kind of goal scoring '****house' that we could do with ...

It easy to say that with hindsight but when Allahyar got injured at Wigan, we were still very much in the relegation mix and he made a big difference.
Tetteh's similar in that we're a much better side when he plays so we wanted him to play as many minutes as possible. That's always going to increase the risk of injury
You can only be so cautious though. They have all the data on every player. If his levels and load and every possible measure show that he's fully fit, what more can you do? You could always wait another week and another week but you have to play them again at some point and they could get an injury in that game or in the weeks that follow.
"You're the only one that can save us cried the wizard, or all is lost".I might start posting a bit more often, just to try make a difference to the usual **** on here.
I probably won't though. So would someone else do it please.
Again though, two games in 3 days is not just being 'so cautious', it's being daft. Easing him back in like we did with Traore, for instance, was clearly the way to go and Rosie admitted as such after the re-ocurrence.
Rosenior said he shouldn’t have played him 3 times in a week. We're going round in circles with this. Rosenior explained in full that Allahyar had shown through all of his load levels and metrics that he was 100% fit and ready. You could always leave him one more game but then if he gets injured whenever he does play again people will still say it was too early. If he was mysteriously still missing weeks after being perfectly fit people wouldn't be happy with that either. At some point players have to come back and there is always a risk they'll get injured again. In Tetteh's case it was about 2 months after he'd first returned from his previous one.

Bonus point for naming that tune.
