I've found it odd for a while that people didn't latch onto this. Acun basically told us with all the clues he gave. Particularly considering yesterday people were getting excited about an MKM tweet about their new brick mascot and taking it as a hint that we were signing someone 6'5".

Twine was guessed at and somewhat discounted given he's not one of England's best upcoming talent, or however Acun worded it, otherwise he wouldn't be coming to us

It was always obvious Acun was referring to Twine, it was also obvious that the upcoming talent was just Acun getting excited which I happen to like in him .

Yes, although I think Seri and Bird are too similar to pair and would be like having Seri and Woo together.

Seri will in all likelihood move on next summer as he will about be past it at 33 but still maybe capable of securing one more big contract. Bird will be the long term replacement and think we would phase him into taking Seri’s place in the starting 11 through the first few weeks/months.

Assuming we get Bird of course. Looks like we will pay the ultimate price for being cheapskates and he will be going to Bristol.

I aren’t sure where this is coming from, bird is far more mobile than woods, would work perfectly next to seri.

AFAIK, baring injuries, the likes of Burnley, Luton et al played a pretty consistent starting 11 last season. 7 Burnley players started at least 30 games.

Dont get me wrong if we get a solid starting 11 then fair enough but those winter months are brutal. This year with sub rules being expanded allows for some flexibility

Haven't been convinced by Seri. Lots of comparisons made between him and Thudd, but I think Thudd, when he first arrived, is miles apart from Seri today (perhaps he's more similar to Thudd v2 who was prone to the odd cock up too). I think we got him a couple of years too late, his legs are shot. Would be happy to see someone like Bird to come in as his longer term replacement.
