Ryan Longman in talks with Turkish Club Fatih Karagümrük “He’s having discussions with a team in Turkey. I felt that it was right to give him that opportunity to speak to them. He’s in a position where he needs to be guaranteed games in his career and I can’t do that here. So out of respect for Ryan, he’s having conversations as we speak.” LR
If Allahyar and Longman are both leaving we definitely need at least 2 wingers, maybe even 3. Anyone get any idea whatsoever if this new US striker can play on the wing? Anyone got any insight into the Hungarian league...
He’s classed as a “forward”, which usually means he can play anywhere along the front three, though like AP said, given his size he’s probably not going to be the most agile of players and is probably more in the mold of Akinfenwa.
Seems like he was a target for Celtic before Ange left which is a pretty good sign. From his video he looks like an upgraded Tetteh, really great feet for a big guy and good at holding up the ball and picking out a pass.
The transfer windows under Acun and Tan have been an absolute shambles if we’re honest Missed out on multiple targets that then got sold on for decent fees - Wright & Ndayishimiye Our current best players are the defenders which are all Allam signings! It’s a joke! The hierarchy really need to start impressing cause honestly I’m starting to sour, they came in promising the world and have done **** all except sell our biggest asset (KLP) and replaced him with nothing. It’s all well and good giving out free tickets but at the end of the day we want a team that competes, major changes needed.
I don't understand this. The very same article suggest we're not looking for ST "The Tigers boss is thought to be content with his striking options, but working hard on adding more options out wide and in the number 10 position." and then the later article for the winger says... "The Tigers hope to make five new signings before the end of the window, with two of those expected to be out wide, one in an attacking midfield position plus a defensive midfielder and goalkeeper."
Heard any more on Allahyar? Think it’s ridiculous we’re so light on wingers and ideally need two on top of what we already have but it sounds like two of our current wingers might go. I echo what @Tigerboy98 said. Acun and Tan are trying to sell us a dream but the transfers under them so far have either been cack, not worth what we paid for them, chronically injured or all three.
Apparently we could’ve got both last summer. With Ndayishimiye, apparently we agreed a fee with Başakşehir but couldn’t agree personal terms with the player (he supposedly wanted parity with Seri). He’d probably be the best defensive mid in the Championship right now if we pulled that off haha. We were close to signing Berat Özdemir too but Trabzonspor’s manager blocked the deal then sold him to a Saudi club later in the window anyway.
really really winds me up knowing he wanted the same as Seri and we instead gave it all to Woods/Vale/Pelkas what an absolute disaster.
Personally not too fussed if Allahyar goes if we replace them with actual decent wingers. Two hamstring injuries really taken his sharpness away.
