Hopefully we can milk itI suspect there may be a bit of churn when it comes to wingers by the end of the window.

I feel like there is a lot of apathy, and a lot of infighting between fans especially on Twitter. Even little things like attendances at the friendlies - last year for the Leicester game there was over 10k there yet tomorrow we’ll be struggling to get 3/4K. Don’t know if it’s an expectations issue or people already giving up.Got to admit I'm one of them ATM and I'm normally extremely positive, I'm just not getting a good feeling ATM, something just doesn't feel right.
23/24 is a risk given we usually have 5/10 out injured at any one timeI wonder if its 23/24 plus youth like Smith/Jarvis who dont have to be registered. Massive benches with 5 subs allowed and the normal champ schedule will stretch the squad but I get why Rosenior wants it as opposed to the supposed 30 we had last year. You're always letting about 10 players down potentially in a squad of 30. Lampard talked about it really well in that podcast he did about the last couple months at chelsea. It's hard to motivate those fringe guys
I think the club has really devalued the friendlies this seasonI feel like there is a lot of apathy, and a lot of infighting between fans especially on Twitter. I think the club has really devalued the friendlies this season
Like they can’t be arsed and the fans have thought likewise
Did the players we signed last summer also have a full pre-season, just not with us?
A lot of them supposedly didn't have a proper pre-season.
I think there's a lot looking with blind optimism.
All the permanent signings bar Woods had been signed by now, so had pre-season with us, so it didn't really apply last season (the loan players hadn't but we didn't really play them, other than Baxter who managed to get a season ending injury anyway).

I think thats it HT2... whilst a marquee signing perhaps was never going to come, I really hoped that now a week before the season, the manager was saying, 'really excited, we're ready, we have all we need and we're good to go'... fact is we're are not and far from it... as it is, talk of STARTERS leaving, Ingram wasn't first choice obviously, no cover in certain positions, other players being e bayed...!!!Got to admit I'm one of them ATM and I'm normally extremely positive, I'm just not getting a good feeling ATM, something just doesn't feel right.
Christie?
Reassuring to know that in terms of getting the squad prepared we're actually behind last season then.![]()
Murat Ulker wont get on board with something thats not premiership bound... I was going to type FACT but suspect someone would jump on it...https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co....ll-finance-expert-blackburn-rovers-situation/
This article on Blackburn shows we are pretty much in the same boat. Also shows that owners sponsorship can help boost the ffp figures. Hopefully Murat Ulker can get on board with that.
Christie didn't have a club, so quite clearly didn't have a pre-season before he came to us.
We're way behind last season mate, absolutely ****ed, I don't know why you're worried about Tigers+ there's going to be **** all worth watching.
Wasn't it acun himself that said FFP would be/is an an issue not so long ago?
It's a strange interview, that comes across as a little damage limitation imo. If we don't have any issue with FFP then our transfer window & strategy have been a little head scratching to say the least.
A friend of mine at derby made a very interesting comment when we brought in Liam and at the time I laughed it off, but I'm starting to see little bit of potential truth it in, they said... "Liam isn't a big fan of having senior/experienced players and or players with strong character that won't just listen and nod no matter what 100% of the time".
And one final point to look at things objectively as opposed to just going on who said it..... If ehab was still running the show and we where having the exact same window as we are now and he gave that interview. I think people would be up in arms.
Possibly a little negative for my liking, but things just aren't adding up for me ATM based on things I'm hearing, what the club's saying and the actual things that are/aren't happening.
So he didn't have a pre-season. Are we only going to sign players from clubs? Or do we not know?
Christ, it's really not that difficult to accept everything isn't sunshine and roses. No one's saying we're going to get relegated and I even posted positive views on the squad a couple of pages ago, but calling a spade a spade shouldn't be treated with the sort of snide comments you seem desperate to come out with.
Seems to be a few clubs in dire straits. WBA are getting mentioned. The excellent Benjamin Bloom (other than being a IT fan) on UTube, as them scraping the bottom of the barrel. And Blackburn are hardly likely to pull up any trees. Benjy has Massive FC going down.....Who'd have thunked it? With them charging fans £66 a pop, I hardly think Massive are going to be that massive. There's an opportunity for City to take some advantage. I like a bit of Schadenfreude on a Friday morning, though I gather BM are not keen to let him go.This article on Blackburn shows we are pretty much in the same boat.
Another CB?I think we still need a GK, CB, LB, CM, winger and striker in so another 6 at least regardless of who goes. If any of the expected strongest 11 leave they would need replacing too.
As you just referred everyone who's happy to wait and see who we sign as 'blind optimists', I don't think you're in any position to criticise others language.
Are you really that un-self-aware?
