Unpopular opinion but I honestly think we look so much more likely to score and less likely to concede when Seri is out of the side and Tufan is in it. On Seri, he's got the ability, but it seems so rare that he looks to make a forward pass, let alone a cutting one. Seems to prefer the backwards/sideways pass every time, even when he's not receiving it from the keeper. It just kills the forward momentum we're supposed to be trying for when trying to beat their press. I don't rate his set pieces either and find him fairly immobile - I'll bet he covers a lot less ground than Tufan who people can't wait to dive in on about his weight etc.

People won't like this because it's a stat but on key passes last season Seri was way ahead of Tufan. Incidentally, Ozan blasted passes off the pitch three times again yesterday. He really needs to tidy up his passing for someone supposedly with so much ability.

Seri seems to be becoming a popular target. Perhaps because he's central to the playing out from the back that people love to hate, and as a regular starter he's understandably under more scrutiny I suppose. Best not to get carried away though, he is a very good player.

I honestly don't get this Greaves love in - we were certainly better defensively after Rosie moved him out of the centre - often out of position, too slow, constantly pulling shirts and grabbing hold of attackers, poor header of the ball and worst of all breaks up our attacks by constantly stopping and passing backwards, usually hospital passes putting others under pressure - nope, don't get it - if we manage £5 million it would be a major coup in my humble opinion
I’ve also said this numerous times, however, he’s got some qualities as a defender, he’s still very raw, he’s definitely improved since his L1 days, he’s learning not to grab players, he still does, but not as much.
He has potential & I do believe he will hit it in a few years, I hoped it’d be with us, but it seems unlikely at this time.
I don’t see him playing at a top team, but mid table PL team, yes.

I dont get this issue with Seri, perhaps if we changed it up a bit teams wouldn't work us out so easily, and hard press on Seri when he inevitably receives the ball in **** positions from Ingram. More evidently when Darlow came in the issue lessened. For me Seri should be among the first names on the team sheet, he is quality on the ball, and one of the few that actually finds players with passes.

We really need more players than Seri to be able to receive the ball & take the pressure off him.
Surely going to Seri every time is the most ridiculous tactic ever, yes, get the ball to him eventually, but it shouldn’t be the go to when we are playing out from the back.

That is exactly the point I made, it's obvious, yet when Darlow was in we weren't doing it as much and other players were receiving the ball. In an ideal world we would have players comfortable in possession, in all positions, alas we dont

We as a team are too dependent on Seri when playing out from the back. When the keeper makes a vertical pass from his box to Seri, who has his back to the opposition, it creates unnecessary pressure and risk. Teams will rightly analyse this and stick two players to press Seri when receiving the ball as we play out from the back.

He’s a quality player but he will make mistakes if we continue this tactic and we will concede silly goals.

This is an unpopular opinion but I think we’ll see less of him this season compared to last. I don’t think it’s a given that he will be one of the first names on the team sheet despite being the most gifted player in the squad. It will probably be a case of Rosenior preparing for a life without Seri and blooding the likes of Simons. I wouldn’t be surprised if Simons and Slater become the starting midfielders at some point in the season with Seri being more a bench player.
I'd be gobsmacked
