I wish you'd stop using this 'actual form' nonsense to somehow enhance and strengthen your argument,it's really not necessary.

We finished 15th,that's fact, that's how the table ended. You can throw in as many variables as you like but the fact remains we'll never know and it really doesn't matter moving into a new season...

Actual form is actual form and if the league started when Rosie took over that's where we finished.

Why are some so desperate ignore the early season slump under Shota as a reason for finishing in a falsely low position, when that issue has been dealt with over the second half of the season?

The club expect top 10 at the very least next season and that's got to be based on something. Judge recruitment when it's done. It's way too early to be prophesying doom and gloom, especially based on the way we finished last season with a weaker squad through injury than we even have now.

If Greaves and Oscar go it will be to recruit further. If we don't get signings in early then it means we're competing with others for signatures.

It matters when you take it from when LR joined. Not saying we move the needle too much but we probably finish 9-12th if Rosenior had been in from the off

Don't know what the issue is or negativity, other teams are losing players and not recruited properly yet, people are assuming we will be the only team recruiting later but we have been working on 3 or 4 deals for awhile now but we have to wait hopefully they will come off 2 definately will.

As for players leaving talk is of 2 that are going but one does not want to go at all he prefers to stay, as for spending money or having money to spend obviously they can't spend what they want to for obvious reasons but if the club do manage to go up their is alot more money that will be available once we get there excluding the prem money they just can't use it for the time being.

Don't worry the club will be fine everyone at the club is happy with the way things are progressing.

It’s a clean slate. The players are well on board with LRs playing style. They will have focus on fitness in pre season, which under Shota didn’t seem to exist. We have a clear way of playing. No doubt there’ll be bumps in the road. I remain convinced that the club is in a better place to make a concerted challenge. The club is finally all pulling in the same direction.

I just don’t see enough goals, based on what we saw last season. LR has mentioned a slightly different approach this season, so twt I suppose

He only executed one part of his playing style last season, which was to make us defensively sound, stop haemorrhaging goals at the rate we were doing. Now we have a platform to build attacking play on. He said this in an interview. Attacking plans are now the focus.

Let’s hope he can do it then, he’ll need to if he thinks we are too 6

Just to clarify...There's no doom and gloom from these quarters,my support stays as is,win, lose or draw.

As for the 'actual' finishing position opposed to the 'actual' finishing position,I'll leave that with you,I've made clear where I saw us finishing.

The fact that our owner decided to give his mate a position in a League he knew absolutely nothing about probably merits significant scrutiny and debate though...

Finishing position is significantly different to the form over the latter 28 games.

If you refuse to acknowledge that then that's up to you.

His mate did no worse the previous season than the bloke he replaced, but yeah, I doubt he'll be appointing another Georgian with no experience of English football again in the near future - as he changed his approach by bringing Rosey in.

If thats the case.. and the club actually do go ahead and sell Oscar and Greaves (we are likely to sell at the last minute too) and maybe bring some last minute signings in as cover at the last minute without the chance to work with them... relationship or no relationship as the manager I'd go ballistic.
So, you ARE Liam Rosenior (and I claim m.....)

I think the squad we have now has quality. What will determine how this season plays out for us (if we're not signing many) is whether we signed a bunch of sick notes last summer, or if we really were just unlucky with the injuries. We'll soon find out.

On top of that I'd say an out and out winger is a must, a left back for obvious reasons, and ideally a keeper. Then I think we're ready.

Agree. Good post.
We are still very short of real pace, and presence/'nastiness'. Maybe the winger and LB will help add the former. Still feel we miss the latter. 4 to 5 realistically needed imo, together with only losing a few of last season's fringe players.

You're right about the LB. Look at the impact Christie had. If you can get that coming from both sides you've come a long way. Downside to losing some and not replacing... If we do get recurring injuries, we're stuffed.

Delap should help the pace thing also.

I can't imagine that the club would reasonably sell our 2 biggest assets and expect an improved league finish without reinvesting whatever we recoup from sales?

I think we are ok for pace? Sayyadmanesh/Vaughan/Longman are all quick.
