Going to need players like Adama to stay fit all season to get anything out this season if recruitment is limited. Probably the best attacking midfielder in the league, I’d be confident without the impression that Greaves and Oscar are nailed on to leave. But with it looking like it’ll drag I worry we'll see replacements brought in that require integration into the system when the games will already be coming. The current squad I feel fully fit is top 10 with a decent left back added into the mix and 2 direct wingers I reckon it could knock on the door of top 6.
Wake up and smell the coffee beans old shag.

If anything, the league will be stronger this year - so by 'staying still' we may find ourselves lower down. We already know some of this squad are made of biscuit
Why stronger? The relegated sides haven’t finished being picked apart by the circling vultures yet. They then have the problem of assembling teams with new key players. They won’t bond over night.

Everyone's saying the league is stronger but I dont think the needle has moved much. Leicester should walk it yes but Leeds are having issues. Wendies are struggling to appoint a manager.

It's not as if 8 or 10 teams suddenly better than us have entered the division.

Its not just what we have and what we dont have its what the other teams in the division do have.

We are no where near more than half of the teams and getting rid of the best for a unkown quality its a very dangerous move.

I wish i'm wrong and hear a lot of "i told you so" in the end of the season.

We have a good side. Top 6 is easily achievable. I’d be more concerned if we made wholesale changes which destabilises the current squad. Look at the ****e that finished in the top 6 last season.

no where near, 2/3 injuries and it’s absolute curtains. Zero squad depth, can’t have doc or fleming coming into the side if you’re pushing for top half.

What was it about seasons record under liam that makes you say "we are nowhere near more than half of the teams." It's just plain wrong. We finished 10th on actual form despite the crippling injuries to forwards.

I agree that the relegated teams have issues but 'if' they get their act together they could prove to be tough opponents. We also need to be aware that Boro and Sunderland came close last season and it they can retain their core players and add a bit of quality, they too could move up a gear? I think this League looks tough this season and we do need to strengthen,Delap to me,is a decent start(I think he'll fit in very well at our Club) but we still need a couple of marquee signings to get things buzzing?

From what I last heard, it is going to be a quiet window in terms of incomings. I know we all thought that anyway but it was confirmed to me last night that 'don't expect to see too many signings and nothing really imminent'
If thats the case.. and the club actually do go ahead and sell Oscar and Greaves (we are likely to sell at the last minute too) and maybe bring some last minute signings in as cover at the last minute without the chance to work with them... relationship or no relationship as the manager I'd go ballistic.

WBA, Norwich and Watford could all do well if they get their act together too.

I'm curious as to what half the division has thats better. I used it before but Coventry got to a play-off final with a bunch of decent players and 2 quality players. Its not too dissimilar to what we have. In fact in the game we played at their place I thought we were the better team till Tetteh went off injured

People who keep flogging that 'but we finished 10th on the form table under Rosenior' horse need to let that **** go. Injuries or not, we still dropped lots of points under Rosenior because we were drawing too many games and not winning enough.

It's not going to be easy by any stretch. The core of the squad is there though to certainly challenge. Some players will improve for us as well and unexpectedly contribute. Just think people are overreacting thinking we will be in the doldrums. We are probably as midtable as you can get though but the squad atmosphere will probably win us more games than loses

I wish you'd stop using this 'actual form' nonsense to somehow enhance and strengthen your argument,it's really not necessary.

We finished 15th,that's fact, that's how the table ended. You can throw in as many variables as you like but the fact remains we'll never know and it really doesn't matter moving into a new season...

It matters when you take it from when LR joined. Not saying we move the needle too much but we probably finish 9-12th if Rosenior had been in from the off
