He was carried off the pitch after the game by both physios so wasn’t looking good. Although I’m not sure if that was because he didn’t go down the tunnel and sat on the bench and he’ll have seized up. Either way don’t expect to see him until post international break now

That's a shame. His last two games haven't been his best, but I think he offers us so much overall. Can tell he wants to make a big impact.

Completely disagree. He plays a role defensively and has shown signs of being able to attack with the ball at his feet. He looks every inch a first team player to me.
I think Covill is physically stronger than others he’s got strong hips like Garcia and Evandro which will help him , boss must see something extra in him

Covil strong? He’s got bullied off the ball just about every time he’s had it. Surely there must be local players in our academy who can offer more and worth the chance?

Dont you think if there were local lads doing what he is in training we'd be playing them instead?

Then again, proving there is a pathway to the first team by playing him won't have done any harm at all in us signing Salah.

Not sure that's a factor in the Salah signing as he won't be signing for the U23s. You don't give the 10 shirt to an u23 kid.

That’s the one element of his game he’s ready in. He just isn’t upto the speed of the mens game. But he’s capable of dribbling past players and drawing fouls. Hopefully a LG2/1 loan will help that

I would rather not sign an Arsenal player, they beat us in the FA cup final.
For your own sanity you must let these things go and move on.......
I've got it penciled in for about the year 2214 . I reckon 200 years should do it....until then

Why wouldn't it be? Covil will likely be going on loan anyway, but having a rep for developing kids and giving them a first team opportunity doesn't matter if he's 19s, 23s or whatever. Proves we will put them in.

Salah has only played half a dozen senior games so far. Giving him the 10 shirt underlines our trust in youth.

He’s done it once in his ~100 odd minutes. The rest of the time he’s had the ball he’s literally just got pushed off it without forcing much of a challenge.

I think with dervisoglu he wants to come but brentford are trying to find a replacement

with pelkas fenerbahce want to sell but pelkas might be taking a bit slow to see if there are offers elsewhere where he can make more money
Complete and utter speculation on your part.

Pretty sure it’s impossible to get insider knowledge just through the power of thought alone

I doubt he will, he was given a one year contract to flesh out the thin academy squad.

I'm not quite sure I follow your point. Giving Academy signings a go in the first team would likely have no bearing on us signing Salah, just as it wouldn't have had any bearing on Lo-Tutala. These aren't players we're signing to stick into the U23s and encourage them that they have a chance of playing first team, they're being signed for the first team.

I agree they are - well Salah anyway, my point is having a track record for promoting youngsters and trusting them in the first team will probably have helped offer him a bit of security he'll get his chance here.
