I’m not so sure. That’s the kind of fee you pay for a centre half that’s just had a decent season at a bottom half prem side. £7m would be a fair price for Greaves. Not that I’d advocate selling him. What do you think he’s worth?

Tetteh - I am very happy to be here. This is a chance for me to showcase my talent. I think my fitness is getting better every day. I can't tell (when will be up to full fitness.) It is my first time playing over here and I have heard a lot about the league. It is going to be quite tough but I am ready for this challenge.

Sayyadmanesh - The last 6 months I was here as a loan player and now I am here permanently, I want to say a big thanks. I hope to help my team anyway they need me. Last year was a good experience for me and I found out how they play in English football.

His point makes sense to be fair but if he sign a new deal and performs as good as last season (likely better) we can demand £20m minimum, that’s the going rate for good championship centre backs especially left footed ones

If Watford are in for a left sided homegrown centreback then it seems feasible that a conversation may have been had at low level, that never developed into firm interest at boardroom level.

Maybe Jordan Archer, Scottish International and QPR keeper? Possibly coming in as 3rd choice keeper?

Baz has ruled archer out on twitter (or at least that the 2 prem players aren't him) .

Maybe 5 years ago but fees have inflated a lot. We just sold a winger with one OK championship season for 16m.

Not sure how true that statement is, its well known several players have turned us down in recent weeks before we moved on to other targets, Twine, Murici, Haji Wright, Ozdemir to name a few.
