Me too. I’ll be concerned if Alfie is on the way out. Can’t replace an entire group of lads who won a League One title and replace them nobodies from the Turkish league and expect to have a coherent squad. I like Acun and appreciate what he’s doing, and some players would’ve left regardless, but I’m not keen on replacing the entire makeup of the squad in one window. I’m getting ‘jobs for the boys’ vibes for some of our recruitment, especially Tufan.

Think the best we can ask for is Seri, Slater and Doch to start the season but that would mean 5-3-2 (352) which I really worry about. Would love to see us go to 433 as I just don't think we have the players to do 343 well enough.

This, Luton and Hudds proven you can be a top side with fairly average players providing the head coach is good. We’ve lost our whole group dynamic in such a small space of time. The group on the whole needed an overhaul but that didn’t mean like Chazz said earlier getting rid of the pre existing leaders of the squad to do so. They’ve yet to be replaced
If they've dismantled the old squad to build a new one on more money, then it has to justify itself on the pitch. It's that simple.

Tufan and Sinik in particular seem like signings Acun personally pushed for.
At the moment I'm not seeing much cohesion between the way the manager wants to play, and the recruitment.
Of course if it's just about minutes and he's playing the available players 90 mins without regard to tactics then we need to worry less.
I've seen plenty of ****e preseason where we've gone on to start well. Seen plenty of great preseasons where we've been ****e once the gloves come off.
