It's difficult to say what else we need as we've no real idea what system we're going to play. Shota seems to prefer 5 at the back where your wingbacks usually create the width, but we also seem to be bringing in wingers, Sinik, Allahyar + others we've been linked with.

Are we going to see a 343 / 523 type system like we played against Fenerbahce, but that only gives us a 2 man midfield, and with Seri, Tufan, Slater, Doc, and this potential DM we're bring in, im not sure how that will work.

Either way, I do think we're lacking a bit of creativity further up the pitch, a proper attacking mid would be nice but again, it all depends what formation Shota wants to play.

Personally I think we'll have a top 6 first 11 for the championship and id like to see Shota go slightly more attacking, maybe a 433 or 4231

Hopefully we'll start to see things take shape throughout pre-season.

I think Shota played the way he did because it was best way with what he had to gain survival.

Is Allahyar our only right winger? I wonder if the loan is the winger from Brighton, he plays mostly on the right

Little paragraph from Baz hinting at Ozan’s lack of fitness already :emoticon-0101-sadsm

“ It's early days in Ozan's career at Hull City and it will take him a period of time in adjusting to life with the Tigers, and certainly the Championship. The Turkish international has shown glimpses of his very obvious quality in training.

Having played in the first two games, Ozan then complained of a tight hamstring and later went off to get some treatment. While the players were trying to cool down in between games - wiping their faces with ice cubes and taking on water - Ozan received something of a pep talk from Peter van der Veen.

The Dutch coach told him that the Championship is like nothing you've ever seen before, the level of running, the grind. And it needs a special mentality to succeed.

City's training sessions are intense, and the 10v10 games they were playing in really testing conditions will have given him an indication of the sort of thing he can expect week in and week out. “

That’s to be expected though. He hasn’t played a lot of football in the last year. Some really intense training would do him some good to prepare.

You should see what Conte’s having the Spurs players doing. They look absolutely frigged after their pre-season training going by the clip I saw.

Need to get Conte here for a week or two :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I agree, I’d rather have seen him stay another season. Just to see how he played with better players around him. I’m sure he’d have got a better offer than Brentford. I hope he’s negotiating a relegation release clause into this 6 year contract.
I am sure Brentford will have a relegation clause in his contract too
