I agree, obviously a single display is not relevant on its own, but why bring him to Turkiye - was it to convince him to stay or was it to see how he would fare against better opposition? Were there already indications that his success at Premier level might not be effective and the monies being offered best taken now if the player is unhappy to stay. Within a few hours of playing against good defenders, he is gone. That is odd to me.

Probably to show the deal they offered isn’t quite enough, leave him at home and they know we are tempted, take him away and he’s part of our squad unless we get that bit more. We was probably happy to sell anyway but any extra helps
