I think Acun put out this statement of £30m as a way of getting the best price for KLP, yes, he wanted to keep him, but if offers were to come in, and KLP was keen to go, then maybe he felt this would help to push the price up.

£20m I think is a very good price for him at present, and if KLP feels this is his chance to get EPL football and secure his financial future, then so be it. Moses Odubajo never made it because of a bad injury, so I guess you have to take the moment.

Despite losing out on his no. 1 transfer target for the summer, Brown is still proud to have been involved in a two-way tussle for the player's signature, and is drawing on the positives.
He is quoted by Hull Sport as saying, "We had hoped to meet with Michael before we went to Italy but when you're up against Manchester United, you know you're on the back-foot.

"To be in a two-horse race with Manchester United for an England international gives me great pride.

"He was ready to consider coming to Hull City but he has joined the champions of England. You can't argue with that but for me it was positive to see us in the running," he concluded.

I’m not sure, I just know they’ve paid a huge wedge of cash for some sponsorship deal. Hopefully travel costs for Acun because at this rate the ****er will be broke by September.
