Realistically our area is pretty boring for the young lads who would prefer the bright lights of London/Manchester but for someone that wants to settle down with family there’s no better place than East Yorkshire.

Don't you think that's a bit of a lazy assumption? We aren't just plucking random players out of obscure leagues. There can be a period when a player has to adapt but quality players usually come good.

So far:
- 8 confirmed outgoings to date. Wilks to add to that, and almost certainly a few more still to go.
- no officially announced signings, although fair to say we have 3 new additions as good as done.
Is that not 5 as good as done (Allahyar, Tufan, Traore, Figuieredo, Baxter)?
Allayhar and Baxter were already part of the squad last season! So, nope, especially not when the OP was talking about "this depth we are seemingly building". We have only so far added 3 unconfirmds.
