I felt like we needed Davies this season but I'm not sure now. He's done amazing to come back from a long term injury to play every minute mind.

I won't lie, I was hoping we'd be targeting somebody a bit better this summer with the increased budget. I think we could get somebody around 30 from the continent with plenty of experience who'd do a fantastic job for us.

He's 37, so that experience on a 1 year contract with a 1 year option is perfect and is exactly what we want even if he doesn't play much in the second year. Settle straight in to so no worries there. Derby will be shedding players like confetti and he probably only got a deal for this season just finished.

They're about to be taken over by the looks and I think he might well end up staying there. He's a loyal guy and he has said that winning L1 with them would be a good way to finish his career

That's fair enough, good luck to him if that's how it pans out.

Harlee Dean is a decent defender and currently in loan at Wednesday. He’s the kind of player we need, I’d think.

I am a bit like you, I have a feeling he maybe it's a year too late. He would be a great leader on the pitch, it's just whether his legs are okay for another season?

I’d take him in a heart beat, think he’d like to come also… no brainer for me
