In some parallel universe, the Allams have just pocketed 8m for KLP and 5m for Greaves. We're second bottom with 1 point from 4 games and whoever was top scorer for Rochdale last season is bumbling around the pitch as our main striker.

Thank **** we're in this universe

Greaves committing long term is outstanding news. Best bit of business this Summer, without doubt.

Strange after having so many years of lots to complain about under the Allams. There’s absolutely nothing to complain about. The club is in good hands and every day is like Christmas at the moment.

Fantastic.

The one bit of good the Allams did for the club was improve the academy as much as they did to help bring on the great crop of youngsters we have coming through at all ages.

And the same die-hard fans would still be in attendance.

The amount of money Forest are spending to try and be competitive in the Prem just reinforces my opinion last season that Huddersfield or Luton would’ve struggled massively had they gone up. Forest are obviously going gung-ho to stay in the Prem but Luton or Huddersfield couldn’t match that sort of spending even with promotion money.

Yes people rubbished me when I said there was such a thing as going up too quickly but this is evidence.

To be fair, there were more on twitter and FB than here,

Some of us didn't doubt he'd sign, but the length of contract is encouraging. I suspect a release clause and promotion bonus made a difference.

Yes, interested in the length after HT claimed he wanted a shorter deal. I'm not particularly fussed as long as he's got the (essentially) 5 year deal, it gives the club great security.

It's a huge sign of intent from both sides imo.. things changed massively ( for greaves ) after the last home game.

It's a fantastic deal for all parties and long may those kind of deals for our good players continue
