The issue is that there is so much agent talk and deliberation that at this stage it’s pretty much pointless. Many players are still away on holiday.

For what it’s worth, Traore and Allahyar are done, Shota has said he thinks eight is enough including those two, but that’s without any departures.

KLP expected to leave but only if we get the price we want, which is looking very likely indeed. Plans are in place for that happening.I asked about Baxter, club are trying for a permanent but the option of a loan will also be explored if we are rebuffed (not sure how when we’ve got a clause in his loan, maybe that expired). Quality in the forward line is a priority, as well as a number 6 to replace Smallwood and provide competition for Slater. Lad from Fenerbahce seems to be the one we’ve gone for in that regard. Interest in Ylimaz at Lille genuine but not confident as Fenerbahce want him and he is expected to go there. Dwight Gayle also being considered, but wages could be a stopping point.

Expecting bids for Greaves but confident he will stay, if pushed they could make him vice captain as an incentive (Honeyman to be the new captain is what I’ve been told, which is what we all thought anyway.). Another Championship club interested in McLoughlin, also interest in Doc from League One and SPL. Cannon to Stockport seems likely, but interest from former club Rochdale too. A couple of clubs from League One have enquired about Wilks but Shota wants him in the squad, seems determined to give him a chance to prove himself.

It’s going to be a busy window, that’s for sure.

I had a sneaky feeling McLoughlin might leave.

Assuming we revert to a back 2 and bring in a partner for Greaves, his game time might be limited. And after this season he should definitely have some value

Any idea on the 4 Acun said we're close to?
