I would like to think that Greaves is well advised by his dad. I would have thought Greaves would have been happy to sign a new improved contract by now but progress has been a bit slow, and Tan Kesler has indicated that talks are still ongoing. Acun has stated in interviews, if players don't want to be at Hull City then he won't force them to stay. I just hope Greaves' agents aren't using Middlesborough's revised offer as a stalking horse bid to attract interest from Premier League teams. Whatever happens, it needs resolving quickly.

Greaves Snr advised him to remain at City even in the face of PL interest. I am doubtful he'd advise him moving to the most depressing place in the UK...
When Captain Cook 1st saw circular quay in Sydney he said it was the most beautiful places he’d visited, he was from Middlesbrough though anyway was

As someone said, give him 25k.

We are either promoted and he stays...or we don't and he leaves next year anyway for greener pastures (for a good profit).

He's good, but replaceable. Either way we will win.

Hull City remain determined to keep highly-rated defender Jacob Greaves at the MKM Stadium after Middlesbrough failed with an improved bid believed to be in the region of £5m.

City have turned down Boro's latest advances for Greaves, Hull Live understands, with the message to their Championship rivals and any other potential suitors that their homegrown talent is not for sale, and will not be following Keane Lewis-Potter out of the MKM Stadium exit door before the window closes on September 1 - it's understood Boro will now move on and pursue other targets after admitting defeat with the Teessiders the only club with a firm interest.

the same happened with Ehab, what’s 25k a year to a young lad like that to sell him for 15 million in a year or so, it’s a investment. The kid has played two seasons in a row of League football at 21 years of age, for a centre half is quite the feet. Centre halves don’t properly peak till they are 25-28 anyway. He’s worth an absolute fortune. So just pay the lad.
