Hull City are closing in on the signing of Colombian striker Óscar Estupiñán. The Tigers hope to tie up a deal in the next 24 to 48 hours with the 25-year-old marksman, sources have told Hull Live. Estupiñán is a free agent after leaving Portuguese outfit Vitoria Guimaraes at the end of the season having scored 15 goals in 28 appearances for the club who finished sixth in the Primeira Liga last term, finishing in the league's top five scorers. The Cali-born frontman opted not to remain at the club, and the Tigers have been working on a deal to bring in the striker and are confident of coming to an agreement with the player who made his national team debut in the 1-0 friendly win over Saudi Arabia last month.
I know it's a highlight reel and there seems to be a lot of space, but at least he doesn't need 2 touches to finish and looks commanding in the air.
He looks like the kind of player who's always there to snaffle up chances, not had that since Fryatt.
Do we not need someone to play layoffs/back to goal link ups and such as well as score? Guess you're not going to see that much on a goals montage though.
If we're playing 4-3-3 or some combination of it, I expect most of the goals will come from crosses. He looks like the kind of player who can lay off the ball though and he's decent with his head.
I'll take someone that appears to not have a ten Bob head when it comes to heading the ball towards goal, fingers crossed
