The unnamed striker, linked in January, who said he believed in the project but could be an issue with affording him – sounded to me like Vedat Muriqi
Thats what i was hoping too

I dont think you understand what an option to buy means
A price will have been agreed and if Baxter accepts our terms Chelsea have no say in the matter
Baxter is in (loan with option to buy)
Traore is in (2 year deal with a further 1 year option)
Figuiredo is in (2 plus one year option also)
Tufan is in (2 plus one year option also) just waiting on international clearances etc
Seri is not done but finances have all been agreed. He is speaking with his family and they will have the final say.
Haji Wright is in discussion but he wants to go somewhere where he will be playing which is a plus for us.
Seconds striker is a secret but sounds like someone who’s a big name, was linked with us in Jan, and will cost some money!
Mentions Honeyman going due to his career ambitions
Wilks looks like staying with us at the moment as we haven’t received a good enough offer. (Obviously they are still open to improved offers)
Yes but the deal will depend on performance in the coming seasonWith an option to buy, it's almost certain the player will have had a huge say in it as well and will pretty much know what the contract offer would be etc
How can you have a mandatory deal? The player will want a say in that.Hence why I asked a question about it. Weird thing to do I know.
However, there are different types of loan to buy: optional, mandatory and probably more.

Gutted about George my favourite player of recent times. I don't see from his, record why I should believe Traore will offer more over a 46 game season in one of Europe's toughest leagues but hope I'm wrong. I do feel the team is being broken up too quickly. Really no idea what to expect this season.
They will have agreed the terms beforehand. They may agree terms beforehand? There are deals where the loaning club are compelled to purchase after the loan agreement expires for an agreed fee.

Have you got an example of a loaning club compelled to purchase? I'm not saying it would never happen but I dont see the point. Why not just buy to begin with? The player terms would have to be agreed as well otherwise the deal could be scuppered by offering the player £1 per year.

You still haven't produced an example even though you claimed they happen
In tan we trust, like the sound of that man
Have you got one example?Obligations just mean that at the end of the loan spell you have to buy the player.
They're used more abroad and are usually done for accounting/FFP purposes. But they are to all intensive purposes, permanent signings as you can't get out of them.
We usually see loans over here have obligatory purchase clauses when an event happens e.g. promotion.
