Everton 40m bid for Siggy rejected. Duh hello. They had already rejected 40m from us.
Also Siggy has NOT travelled to the states with the rest of the squad as he "is not in the right frame of mind". Interesting

That statement frankly reads as "He has not travelled because we are waiting for the right offer and its a waste of a plane ticket [HASHTAG]#solongsiggy[/HASHTAG]"

He does not want to come here, he wants to go to Everton.
Is this based on anything, or is it just a feeling? He hasn't handed in a transfer request after either bid.

I think he'd probably choose Everton too, but if we are the only ones that offer enough for Swansea to accept, then what would he do?

Is interesting that when we made our bid a few weeks ago there was no reaction but when Everton did then "he is not in the right frame of mind".

That we have since bidded on Deeney also suggests to me that we are looking elsewhere.

Just a rumour going around Swansea, If he talked to us he might change his mind but doubtful.

Roma have made a €33M (~£29M) bid for Mahrez that is a good start I suppose.

Derby are after Matty James and have reportedly bid £4M for him.

Need Roma to up the bid to 35m + a few more in add ons and sell on clause.
Need Derby to up their bid to 6m and we deal.

Talk of Leonardo Ulloa being offered a new contract and the club will try and sell Slimani

So last summer signings

Hernandez- Left
Zieler- Likely to leave
Mendy- Likely to leave
Musa- Likely to leave
Kapustka- Set to leave
Slimani- Likely to leave

We had a shocking summer last year

Who wanted these players in the 1st place ?

TBH we all did mate - when we brought them in we all were exited.

Hernandez - was a free transfer and was highly rated as a CB which is why we played him as a RB... We were linked with him during NP's reign.
Zieler - Is a homegrown player so a plus when we were in Europe and also was good enough to make the German team
Mendy - was rated better then Kante as he was capped by France at multiple age levels and was tipped to make the senior team
Musa - tore up the Russian league and impressed in Europe and for Nigeria. We were linked with him during NP's reign.
Kapustka - was really rated highly and played for the senior side
Slimani - did really well for Sporting and has been linked with a move to the Premier League for a while.

That all of them turned out to be rather ****e is shocking though - I bet the only reason our then head of recruitment Steve Walsh wasn't have been held to account was because during the sam period he also brought in the likes of Kante, Fuchs and Ndidi.

We have rejected an offer by Saint-Etienne for Mendy on loan - only want a transfer for a fee of around the £13M we paid for him.

Don't recall any excitement on my part from the above signings, apart from Slimani.and possibly Musa. Hopefully this summers transfer business will prove a lot more successful (How could it not be!!)

To be fair, Most of them didn't have a chance to show much, either due to injury or being played out of position. Kaputska is a strange one though.

I barely can remember that time myself - was still hungover from celebrating the Premier League win.

Pleased that Kaputska is only a loan. Clearly has talent and Shakey must see something there or else it would have been permanent. Another seasons experience and he could well come back stronger and better.

It is a loan with an option to buy though - €6M according to Mercury.
