Gave up on FoxesTalk ages ago. Waste of time. The majority of posters on FoxesTalk are a joke. They would find something to complain about if we signed Messi ffs.

I'd like Deeney. Problem is his age and value. £20m? Hefty... but probably. But can't see room for him and Sigurdsson so it would probably be instead of. Everton look in pole position... but have spent a lot of money and look to be getting Rooney in.
They are in Europe and we aren't.Why would you think Everton are in pole position? ... it won't be for financial reasons .. we are currently ranked above them in the list of the world's richest football clubs ...just saying ... I think there is still a tendency amongst Leicester City fans to see ourselves as 'poor relations' ... whilst we are owned by King power we are certainly not ...
They are in Europe and we aren't.
Also having rich owners doesn not make us a rich club - FFP has made sure of that.
Yup - we are not in Europe so aren't linked with those kinds of players. Everton and Liverpool were regularly in the top half of the table and pushing for Europe - right now we are a mid table team that flirted with relegation last season and have only finished in the top half of the Premier League table once in the past decade. You think being in Europe for a season matters more than the Financial package? ... so Lacazette has signed for Arsenal because of his desire to play in the Europey? ... why wouldn't he have gone to a Champions League club if playing in Europe was his prime concern ... Mane went to Liverpool when they were not playing in season but Sothampton who he left were .. similarly Kante to Chelsea - in reality it's a combination of things but the financial package is most likely (in my cynical opinion) tops ...
As to rich owners not equating to rich clubs .... so Man City were a rich club before Sheikh Mansoor? ... and Chelsea were before Abramovic? . PSG is another prime example ..
... as I said ... there is a pessimistic mentality about many of us Leicester City fans ... "It's bound to all come crumbling down" ... but is it? ... I'm now a convert ... the owners have loved every minute of 'our journey' and have made us a 'rich club' in world terms (as published by Forbes - we are currently 19th - and ahead of Everton) ...the stadium expansion plans are part of ambitious plans to establish Leicester City as a 'global brand' ... we'd best get used to that ... isn't it great?![]()
Basically you can't run a club at a loss - what you take out in transfer fees and wages cannot greatly exceed the clubs's income.Just do not understand this FFP, does not seem very fair to me!
So the rich get richer and the poor get poorer! yep seems fair to me!Basically you can't run a club at a loss - what you take out in transfer fees and wages cannot greatly exceed the clubs's income.
It takes into account how rich a club is, not the owner and stops what Chelsea and Man City have done with their owners pumping money into the club and running at a loss.
The likes of Spurs and Everton have a bigger fanbase and have been much more consistent in the league so they are richer then us even though Top is worth more then their owners combined.
Exactly - this is the reason why I really don't want us to be affected by it as we broke the status quo and these twats would relish in buggering us up.So the rich get richer and the poor get poorer! yep seems fair to me!
I'd also add that the name Ronald Koeman will be an attraction. I'm not saying he is a better manager than Shakey, just that he is a better known name in the world of international football and had a more illustrious playing career. In the eyes of many players that will be seen as equating to him trying to create a team that emulates the ones he played for.

The problem with your way of thinking is that we are just going to attract players who's only motivation is money - we have seen how that works with the examples of Sunderland, QPR and Leeds.Been reading all your posts and I 100% agree with everything you've said. We are a richer club than Everton now and most people don't even know who Everton are anymore because they've done nothing but be a mediocre PL team since its inception and haven't won a trophy for two decades and have won less
than us.
People are stuck in the past where they were a bigger club but they're not anymore, just like Villa, Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday who used to be successful. We're above them in the rich list so in 2017 Leicester City Football Club are bigger than Everton Football Club. A lot of people still live in the past and not the present and presently we're a far better known club than Everton. Even people in Australia now know who Leicester are and every time I wear my shirt someone says something. My boys were wearing their shirts the other day and my eldest said "that man just put his thumb up at me and said go Leicester".
This is the reality that people aren't aware of and these days Everton are not a bigger club and are not a more attractive club to join.

The type of players that we want are ambitious and willing to work hard to achieve their goals and like it or not, a club steeped in history like Everton who are in Europe and manged by a legend in Koeman are much more attractive to that kind of player then rich Leicester who had a miracle season then fell to earth and spent most of last season in fear of relegation.
