Cant see it being true as Top’s role hasnt changed. Its whether he has taken a step back from running the club on the short term which would be understandable. Its a big job running 2 football clubs and King Power
As far as I know the plan was not to make any major signings in Jan because of the uncertainty around our head of recruitment Eduardo Macia rather then anything about finances.
Been linked with him for a while - Hull want stupid money in excess of what we paid for Maddison though.
I’ve seen him a few times - decent player but without the ‘x factor’ that Maddison and others seem to have at that level.

Not sure how inheritance tax works over there? Presumably there is none as it stays with his wife?

This does beg the question as to why we don't have an English (or at least British) person in that position, or does this guy have lots of experience of the Premier League and I'm doing him a disservice?
He has lots of experience - was Liverpool's head scout at one point as well.

The recall of Barnes to me adds weight to the fact that the club doesn't currently have the ability to spend money due to finances not being settled. And why wouldn't we recall him, we need attacking flair and he is our player but I also believe there is stuff going on in the background with the ownership and funds available to the club.
If this is the case it also makes it laughable that people are calling for Puel’s head every week whether we win, lose or draw. King Power/Top/club hierarchy are hardly going to be paying off a manager unless we were nailed on to go down.
