Read today there will be no one coming in due to the finances of the club not yet confirmed after the chairman's passing. Anyone know if this is true?

Cant see it being true as Top’s role hasnt changed. Its whether he has taken a step back from running the club on the short term which would be understandable. Its a big job running 2 football clubs and King Power
As far as I know the plan was not to make any major signings in Jan because of the uncertainty around our head of recruitment Eduardo Macia rather then anything about finances.

I’ve seen him a few times - decent player but without the ‘x factor’ that Maddison and others seem to have at that level. Personally would be underwhelmed

He has lots of experience - was Liverpool's head scout at one point as well. Rumour has it that West Ham, AC Milan and Bordeaux are fighting it out over him.
The recall of Barnes to me adds weight to the fact that the club doesn't currently have the ability to spend money due to finances not being settled. And why wouldn't we recall him, we need attacking flair and he is our player but I also believe there is stuff going on in the background with the ownership and funds available to the club.
If this is the case it also makes it laughable that people are calling for Puel’s head every week whether we win, lose or draw. King Power/Top/club hierarchy are hardly going to be paying off a manager unless we were nailed on to go down. People seem to have already forgotten what happened on 27th October!
