Worth noting that it’s not just us. It occurs at all levels. Talksport were talking about how Arsenal still haven’t signed a number 9. And of course neither have Chelsea. Other clubs are short in this area as well. Although in many other cases it’s more having limited options beyond the first choiceGood window but still really missing that elusive goalscorer and some creativity in the final third.
Good to see players wanting to come here from bigger teams and there being a good team spirit. A win against Brentford would be perfect.

No one else is reporting anything like this. This guy has almost doubled the number everyone else is reporting. I assume for clicks ?You must log in or register to see media
Hmm, given their owners include a certain Tom Brady they clearly have financial clout behind them. One to bear in mind when picking through the carcass of administration in the not too distant future

Oh that's true. But he's going to want an ambitious project to sign on to and that requires money. He's a symbolic 'owner', not really putting any money in or owning any tangible share amount. Common tactics for hedge funds trying to be relevant and more cuddly - see JJ Watt at Burnley
This figure is now being reiterated on talksport so suggests it might actually be this high. That’s more than we paid for Archer. I think we’d have been fuming if we paid that for this guy. No wonder it’s so hard finding strikersWOWZERS!

It seems more like they walked away from Broja but were gazumped for NelsonIpswich lost Reiss Nelson and Armando Broja in the final 20 minutes of the window. Nelson going to Fulham on loan instead and Everton hijacked their move for Broja - loan and compulsory purchase in 2025 for £30m.
I honestly think Ipswich have had a pretty **** window. Clarke may be a good buy, but I don't see enough goals in their team. The only player they've signed who's proved he can do it in the PL is Phillips. And unlike us and Leicester, they had no PL experience beforehand.Broja on loan to Everton with a 30m option. Currently out with an Achilles injury (I think I read might have been up to 12 week out)

True but Archer is clearly a good finisher and Diaz did get 6 in 14 games for Sheffield United last season. At the end of the day both us and Ipswich have had to be shrewd with signing players but I'd much rather have our squad than theirs. You could make the same point about goals for us
Fair play SR.
Recruitment and decision making up until now has been mostly pretty ****e. But this window seems to have shown they’ve learned a lot on the job. And are willing to splash some cash.
