There are 3 PL games before the window shuts and the two week int'l break before we play IPS, BOU, LEIC, EVE, WOL within the space of a few weeks.

Whilst we'd all rather a full squad full of world beaters having a full pre season here we also need to be realistic and accept that previous windows always seen good players from good clubs become mostly available (or more affordable) later in the window. That's certainly when the best loan value has seemed to be there.

I'll make a judgement on this window on the 31 August. What I will say so far is that I think all those we've bought in have done so at a very fair price.

So after Martins comments sounds like we want a winger at least, I imagine it will be Fraser and seems likely we will get some sort of CM O’Riley or someone else, but hopefully a couple more as well

I’d imagine half the league would want him, up to him where he goes then. He played for Bournemouth for awhile so maybe back there, still think our chances of signing him are as low as possible

Well, it depends on a couple of things. First, where Ramsdale wants to go and second the finances involved in the deal. I don't know what his wages are, but I can't see any of those clubs listed paying the whole lot. Arsenal will want a decent loan fee and part of his wages covered. So it could be whoever offers Arsenal the best deal gets him.

You just said it’s up to Ramsdale where he goes, then said it’s whoever offers Arsenal the most money

All I’m saying is if he has multiple PL clubs interested, all where he is going to be number one we aren’t going to be high up anyone’s list

One thing in our favour is that we play out from the back. Perhaps he and Arsenal would consider us as a place where he can improve in this area and showcase that he's worthy of getting back into the Arsenal team based on that.

Ramsdale for a £3m, Brooks/Carvalho for something similar, a central midfielder who adds a bit of physicality and a striker who can play a bit. Is that too much to ask? (probably)

Difficult to see Ramsdale picking us over a more established premier league side. I don’t think Arsenal will pick and choose bids based on the playing style of the bidders. That will ruffle the player’s feathers.

Us and maybe Bournemouth might be the only ones on that list that he might not need to relocate for. In the interest of snatching at crumbs
