Difficult to see Ramsdale picking us over a more established premier league side. I don’t think Arsenal will pick and choose bids based on the playing style of the bidders. That will ruffle the player’s feathers.

Us and maybe Bournemouth might be the only ones on that list that he might not need to relocate for. In the interest of snatching at crumbs

Maybe Ramsdale needs practice in backs-to-wall defending, as opposed to going on loan to a team that spends its time scoring at the other end of the pitch.

When I played in goal in 5-a-sides it was far more enjoyable playing for a bad team as opposed to being bored leaning against the cross bar as you watch your team win 16-0

I nearly always played for bad teams so was always saving/letting in at lot of shots etc.

Mind you if the team is really bad - some I played for were - it was as tedious as having nothing to do.

Watching the division's top scorer racing clear from the halfway line for the fourth time in the first half lost its shine quickly.

I feel the same. Hope he comes in as a squad filler though if it saves me from more mind-numbing Sulemana and Edozie minutes, though
I agree on Sulemana but think Edozie can still step up.
He has shown in his preseason minutes that he can get to the goal line but his problem then is picking out a pass from an area that gets quickly closed down by decent defenders.
I think he should try to go past his man sooner, before he gets to the edge of the box, as it would then give him more options for crosses, as in behind the defence, square or pull back.

Arsenal turning down €27m offer for Nketiah so nowhere near the £17m previously rumoured

Romeu has left Barca to join Girona on loan, expect a few Saints fans to say we should’ve been all over that

Edozie has always been able to beat his man and get to the byline, even back in the PL. He just has no end product whatsoever, cant pick a pass, cross and finishing is woeful. Better than Sulemana granted, but Fraser is better than them both so we may as well get him in to hopefully be our primary back up option.

We are in trouble if any of Fraser, Edozie or Sulemana are starting for us in the prem.

I have been critical of Edozie’s end product in the past which is why I posted what I did.
The point I was trying to make is that when he goes past his man he leaves it so late that he is generally crossing from the goal line, which limits his options for crossing the ball as he can only pull the ball back and any decent defence will position itself to block the pull back.
This is why I think he would be better beating his man earlier, giving himself the option of crossing into three different areas.
I’m not discounting Fraser, but I think Edozie could come good, and watching how Fraser drifts into the middle, when we play down the right, is certainly one area he can learn from.

West Ham are very busy, allegedly signing Fullkrug, Rodriguez and Summerville for about £50m, then hoping to sign Wan Bissaka

Saw an article where Postecoglu was talking about Djed Spence and how happy he was with him.

These two were the clubs being linked with KWP so be interesting to see what happens over the next month

If the defender keeps backing off then you don’t really have a choice as to where you can beat them?
Edozie is still young and I think we look more of a threat as an attacking force when he plays compared to the others, even if the end product isn’t always via his work
