I have “good faith” that they will have absolutely no leg to stand on in punishing anyone for it.

All that villa and Everton would have to do is point to our transfers of Shea Charles and Bazunu and say “look, these extortionate rates are correct for youngsters”

I'd be happy to start the season with a back 3 of THB - Bednarek - Edwards.

Get a dominant GK behind them and that's pretty decent.

Yeah, Ronnie Edwards would be an excellent signing.

I'd be happy to start the season with a back 3 of THB - Bednarek - Edwards.

I really like Edwards, but I do think there would be risk in signing a young player under 6 foot from League One and chucking him straight in in the PL. That might get us back to where we were before in terms of lack of PL nous.

That's my only reservation. I agree he's a real talent but would prefer to bring him along than to sign him as a definite starter.

There would be less risk playing him in a back 3 though. Besides, I genuinely think he's good enough for the PL now.
