Jacob Tanswell has been chatting about Saints’ plans for the summer. Says we will be reliant on the loan market. Thinks we will be targeting a keeper, centre back, left back, centre mid, right winger and striker. Possibly 2 strikers if Adams does leave.

Sounds decent on paper, not sure about relying on the loan market as not too sure on the loan rules in the PL. I know it’s only one loanee from any other PL club but not sure how many you are allowed, and if there are restrictions on loans from overseas

The loan market has become a much bigger thing with the PSR rules. Loans with options to buy are now extremely common so I'm not surprised we're looking at the loan market.

Feel like I'm in a minority on Perraud, but I actually thought he was one of our better players as we went down. That's not saying much I know, but Martin did allude last year to him not suiting the style of play so it's not too much of a surprise he's being moved on.

I liked him as well. Definitely better than Manning at least. Maybe him coming back was never on the cards, Betis are a step up aswell so probably a no brainer for him

It is fairly pleasing that the club are being pragmatic in transfers and shifting them early, even at a loss to what they would want to receive in fees.

Yeah, the last thing we need is the likes of Perruad & Lyanco here clogging up valuable pre-season time once again, when it's clear neither have no future with us.
