Fraser and Manning will be the left back options next year

Troll.

Manning won’t cope. His positioning, tackling, defending the box were exposed by the championship attacks, the prem it will be free goals for the oppo.
Perraud was solid and at times class and I always thought he was a good character on the pitch.

I’d quite like him back but sounds like he’s not a Russ man unfortunately.

Agree, Perraud is a good PL left back. Also one of the best strikers of the ball in our squad (alongside stuey).

Perraud and Manning are pretty similar for me. Both sloppy passers, both get caught high up the field or out of position and both better going forward than defensively. Perraud a bit of an improved version of RM, but no appetite for either of them to be starting for us next season, tbh.

Perraud is worth keeping for the squad imo.

Manning id loan or get rid altogether personally

Yeah. I'd rather have Perraud as cover than Manning, but neither should be starting. Bad positioning and awareness plus bad recovery pace is just a recipe for disaster, and both of them share those traits.

All Fullbacks will get caught upfield, that's part of the modern job. I'm not saying Perraud is a Kyle Walker regen but he's a proven full back a the level and I never felt he was a liability on the pitch. He's ours, under contract and we wont be able to afford to replace or strengthen every position that we need to as it is without adding LB to the mix.

I'm going to do my periodic stumping for Ismael Kone, Canada and Watford attacking midfielder. Reportedly a Roma target, fast, skillful and direct through the center, was great against France this week.
