Possibly, the reverse is also true where it motivates the players who feel wronged by a points deduction. As I say Everton already have a good enough team to survive so recruitment isn’t such a big deal compared to promoted teams With how long appeals etc take it seems like it’s basically impossible for a team to have it at the start of the season when the accounting window finishes on the 30th of June. 6 weeks til the start of the season to review the accounts of the team and figure it all out then the inevitable appeal process
I had not seen this when I posted about Saudi. This account must be one of those 17 year old wannabe ITKs (think one was called SFC Alex) because the account had me blocked and I’ve never interacted with it. But I did query a couple of these accounts either last summer or the summer before and got the fanboy response of “you have 3 followers and he has over 1000” (i think the guy himself might have said that at some point) But this one just seems to be a news aggregator and posting links which the ones I ruffled the feathers of did not do. They legit pretended to have sources and hated it when they were proven to be completely making things up. That said - “proper” journalists are just as petty and think skinned at times on Twitter. A bit more excusable when they are guys in their 50s who never really expected or signed up for direct engagement and immediate questioning of their journalism
I’m not sure how many players really would feel personally wronged by such a deduction unless it’s to do with how their club is punished and Man City gets away with it when they should have the harshest punishments of all
The difference is that carrillo was crap before we signed him, crap at saints and crap during all of his loans. Paul was banging in goals before we signed him, crap at Saints and brilliant during his loan in turkey. We will be able to find a buyer, its just how much of the £15m we can recoup.
To be fair Onuachu was very much a Ferrari in Turkey, and Belgium before. And he only got about 5 minutes in a crap team, to prove himself in England.
The one time he got a quality cross in the air from JWP he hit the bar, Selles never played to his strength or even put him on the pitch therefore he had little opportunity to impress. I think he has proved himself to be a real asset in the right system.
He arguably is our best striker atm, but as you say he has to be played in the right system and we aren’t going to play that way
Billy Gilmour worth £8 million, by Napoli. Brighton want more. Is he worth it? Can Saints make a sneaky 9 million bid?
It’s a very odd one…. We’re desperate for a striker, he’s a striker who has had form, he could now make a name for himself in the EPL if he and we wanted him too, but chances are, we’ll sell him at a loss whilst spending what we get in for him on a striker of lesser quality….
I assume our manager has seen enough to know whether he is fit for our side or not. A striker of lesser quality but better suited would be better.
True…. But a random situation…. Interesting to see he’s actually back in the country training with us….
Yep, we are weird. Not really saying I want him but our transfer direction is nuts (sometimes). The proof will become visible by transfer window end. I remain hopefully but not that expectant.
Hojbjerg is off to Marseille, pretty sure we have a sizeable sell on for him so interesting to see how much he goes for
Indeed, the fee £12m. Only a year left on his contract and publicly surplus to requirements for some time. There not even some dry-roast peanut dust for us.
