Stock reason. Up there with tight calf and sore ankle.

AKA, wrapped in cotton wool as there's been an offer.

Not going to antagonise Clingo.
My feelings are mixed on it, but......
Will you please behave yourself!?

We have a guy who is widely acknowledged as one of the best if not the best, right back in the Championship. That's exactly the foundation you need to build a team and a club ethos.

I know the argument that we could buy more with what we would get for him but straight away you know his replacement isn't going to be as good. That in turn means that while the current window sounds exciting, we could undo any potential progress by getting rid of what we already have.
Time the club got the mindset that we deserve to have and keep good players. Otherwise we might just as well go into the business of buying and selling without making progress.
Let's be a FOOTBALL club.

Bloody hell. I rarely have entrenched opinions, but I'm immoveable on this one.

My view is if he goes it’ll be to another championship club not a PL club. However where’s the evidence he’s being targeted?

If he goes then City would need to ensure they get enough for him to replace him. He’s worth say £3-4m and he’s on say £20k per month. It wouldn’t be easy finding someone of his experience and quality at this level for those figures so why would City want to sell?

Is he dispensable? Probably not as he’s always at least a 7/10 and a threat at corners, plus he’s good entertainment being a master at the dark arts. He’d be missed for sure so I hope he stays not withstanding an apparent lack of interest in him from other clubs.

A caveat however: there may be a problem may be if he wanted to go and sulked if City refused to sell him.

He doesn't strike me as the type that would sulk and even if he was that type, I'm sure he'd figure out that such behaviour would ultimately backfire. In any case any chance of this could be avoided if the club continues to show some ambition.

This reminded Masky Of Llandaff of ciy’s tour of New Mexico under Neil Warnock, empty stadiums and no interest....a jolly for the boys? Why on earth would this Belgium side come to paltry Leckwith Stadium for a pre-season game, Newport and Wrexham would be more appealing? And that burger van at the start with BT at the front of the queue WTF, is that BFB giving him a portion....dirty boys? Clingy is a titty, and where’s Irish? :emoticon-0103-cool: Masky Of Llandaff :emoticon-0103-cool:

9 mins of highlights on the city site.
Opposition no mugs so a good run out.
Some of our 1 touch stuff a bit clumsy and poor choice of pass a few times, but looked ok. A bit more forward looking, ball on the deck.

Decent interview with Erol as well.

Finally managed to watch those brief highlights and as you suggest, there are the roots of something different beginning to emerge. Let's hope it develops into something really positive.
