You need to find stability first, not neccesarily the owner ( usually totally un-stable ) but certainly the manager.
We'd had 12 years of SISU, but had Robins now for 7 of those and you can see the difference it makes, we have a style of play right from the U18's through to first team, and when subs come in, they know how it works.
We had a post on our board from 2017 asking where we'd be in 10 years and it was hard to identify with that poster back then, mostly doom and gloom, protests, drop in st's, to where we are now.
Can Tan be trusted to get the right man in place and let him have 2/3 years before chucking him out??
I hope you're still in this league next season and get where you need to be.
Good points well made Robbie.

How long did it take Robins to turn things around for you guys?

I know there's been a few grumbles at times with him at the helm but even after your rocky start this year he's turned things around again and you guys are looking strong again. :emoticon-0165-muscl

I do think sometimes even the most patient of us can still think short term... i.e. a single season or part thereof....

If we do change again though (as this is a transfer thread) then it'd have to be Cooper now surely???

Well, that aged well!, we were fugging sh1te last night, scared and bullied by a very physical Preston side who we haven’t beaten in 21 attempts home or away!
More worrying is Sakamoto was stretchered off with a suspected fractured pelvis after falling over the back of a Preston player whilst jumping for a header.
In egg chasing a straight red card, but the dozy tw@t of a ref didn’t give a foul and stopped the physios coming on for nearly a minute!
Looks like we’re running out of players to stay near the top 6.

We're only 10 points behind you with a game in hand...........<whistle><whistle>

Now if you had suggested this an hour ago....

I would have been delighted to meet the mercurial Masky!!! Too late now sorry.

As a matter of interest when Dalman explained the EFL rejected out initial budget he could not say that in print as that would be libel. The budget had to be reduced because the EFL required it so when MR Bulut suggested he did not get the budget he was promised he simply did not understand the position. Mr Bulut is actually very good at not understanding the position on and off the pitch.

Beg to differ....... Mrs Bulut was very explicit when we were catching up over a coffee in Starbucks at Culverhouse Cross the other day, in telling me her husband understands lots of positions.

I'm almost certain she was talking about football....

Not sure I understand Bulluts comments on Turnbull.

Is he not fit? Is he no good? Why stick with an underperforming midfield when you've signed someone for £2m?
Why start someone in the first game they're available, then say he isn't ready?
What is going on?

Goodness only knows.
My (unsubstantiated) theory is that Turnbull wasn't Erol's choice and he's dug his heels in. I don't think Erol will get sacked but I can see him walking away.
It all needs sorting before the next window and I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but perhaps a knowledgeable DoF would be useful.
The way the club is run seems bizarre.

From what I’ve seen so far the bloke looks like he’s in the desert looking for a camel with a blindfold.

I thought he looked neat and tidy against Preston TBF, was often looking for forward passes but had little outlets and hence wasn't overly effective.

I can see what Bulut is saying though, he's joined from a club that is used to dominating games, having the majority of the ball etc.
The pace he's had to play at would undoubtedly have been far more relaxed.
With us, in the Championship (probably THE most competitive division in the world) he got to get to grips with the physical side, the pace and the fact he's got to work his nads off out of possession too.

It'll definitely take time for him to settle.

I think Nin was talking about Bulut.
