Can understand why we might be reluctant to overpay for Meffert. If he's in his last year we could get him for free in 9 months.
And besides, it'd save some inevitable whinging that Xavier isn't being given a chance when he'd probably be going on loan again otherwise.
I think Zambrano will get a ban. Maybe not as high as two years but I think we need another defensive midfielder like Meffert in case it happens. Simons has done okay but if Zambrano’s out it’s literally him and Burns as defensive mids.

What makes you think that? Out of the 3 active permanent striker targets reported on Monday, we've only been linked solidly with Cannon so far. And I'd be surprised if they got the reported 10m, or even close to that upfront/guaranteed.
I think we’ll push for Meffert, no idea if it’s likely but think he’s a transformative signing.
Striker I’m expecting to be underwhelmed.
Kamara I think goes through, be interesting who the other winger is
Pretty much think this too, If Meffert really wants to come I reckon it gets done. I'd bet the other winger does turn out to be Doak.
