Look at Jacob Greaves, I could have kept him for two more months to sell him for more money, it would have been so easy, Jaden (Philogene) is the same, too,

ffs you ****ing idiot

3 loans coming in,
surprise gk,
new striker will show how serious we are,
Meffert probably coming in
won't make anyone stay if they want to go as long as the club benefits as well,
Fener won't distract him from city
Maribor link will go well- mentions 17 year old he wanted to bring to city but couldn't get work permit so he's gone to westerlo karol borys

Nothing we don't already know or baz hasn't already stretched into 6 articles.

Re. the Karol Borys comments.
He signed for Westerloo. They then loaned him to Maribor, with an option to buy. Presumably Acun means he wanted to bring Borys here but couldn't due to work permit rules, so got him to Maribor instead with the intention that he then comes here once a permit is possible?
Does sound like one to watch for the future. More here ....

Let him go for a 7 figure fee though which will fund a new striker. Oscar really isn’t good enough anyway

That's not really my point. If we don't have someone locked in and ready to come then we're potentially scrambling for a striker on Deadline Day. Some clubs line up or even sign replacements before selling a player. Getting 1m for Oscar is really not much given the wages we've poured into him.

I still have yet to see any proof he actually owns Maribor. The whole thing is very weird.

He has big flaws
But again so will everyone we can get

A so called championship changing striker is just hotpr talk

Top strikers will not come here for
A) too low wages we can offer
B) they can play at a higher level

He did confirm it during the last Q&A session.
Granted, he didn't put the purchase contract out on show though for fans to inspect :emoticon-0105-wink:

He doesn't need to, but some sort of official documentation does in fact need to be lodged.

I could claim I own a house it doesn't make it fact.

Hmmn.
He might have been able to squeeze a bit more out of a deal if he'd left it till late.
But, there would have been trade offs (downsides) and risks from keeping hold of one or both till late, especially when both players wanted to move on (one with a heavy heart, but still wanted to take the next step up).
With his comment, he was obviously just building on the point that we're (now) a club with good ethics, not ****s, that hopefully brings rewards when players are making a choice between us v's other clubs.
He didn't really need to make the comment though. Often saying less is better than saying more (he says after another longish post).
Don't think Acun deserves grief though.

If I was Darlow I'd have been tempted to do the same thing...Earn say 40% more at Leeds and sit on the bench, or sign for City, play week in and week out and get pelters from the fans when things go tits-up. No contest.
Im not saying I wouldn't either but I wouldn't be impressed if he was to now come back.

So what are you expecting then?
To find said official documentation on line?
Tbf, I was asking the same question a few weeks back (has he actually bought Maribor as I can't find anything on line to confirm it), but he answered it definitively in that Q&A, so that's good enough for me. I'll believe him for as long as I have a very clear reason not to.

I'm expecting an official announcement with some sort of press documenting that the sale has been made. Presumably documents need to be lodged which would be available to the public just as they were when he bought Shelbourne. Has Baz even reported it?

Given all the funny deals he's done with players like Omur and Pandur coming in as favours or to absolve clubs of debts to him, I kinda don't have much trust in him when it comes to this sort of thing.
