It is Dundee FC. They are flying and looks likely they will get European football and challenge for 3rd. I’ve looked at the formation they play. Either a 4-3-3 with a striker at RW or a 3-5-2. The striker that played RW is like Delap so it would suit TSF if he plays on the shoulder.

When I googled Dundee FC they have been given great reviews for their style of play and challenging Old Firm and Hearts. The CB from Dundee is getting a Mexico call up and their Captain might be going to Celtic for over a million which shows it’s a good standard. I hope it’s the right loan move for him.

I don’t get this ‘we need experience’ waffle. I’m of Walter’s opinion that if you’re good enough, you’re old enough. You don’t need to shoehorn players in their thirties with dodgy knees to achieve some mystical state of ‘having experience’. Sunderland are currently top of the league with three wins out of three, scoring seven and not a single goal conceded. Their oldest player in the starting XI today was 29-year-old Luke O’Nien.

Jones, Coyle, Giles, Slater and Millar are experienced at this level. Mehlem and Ömür have hundreds of appearances each in other leagues. The only thing Cooper has experience of is being a mediocre footballer and spending time with the medical staff for prolonged periods.

Yet Walter wants more experience through the spine. Don't inflect your own opinion ahead of what's happening in front of your eyes. The fact is we're going in for more experience, in Cooper and perhaps other positions before friday as well. Keep an eye on GK, CM and striker specifically.

Walter is a part of that.

Not against more experience. Just against the Cooper signing…if it happens.

So what's his role going to be? Just the archetypal Hull White ****e **** you come across on Anlaby Road on the way to the game who feels it necessary to shout "Leeds Leeds Leeds" from across the street?

back in the day would probably be referred to as player-coach.

Or more recently senior pro.

We don't have many with Seri leaving were obviously looking for a grandfather role. That role would be to be in the ear and on the coat- tails of the Hughes, Jacob, Smith, Burns types

Not necessarily taking their place on a matchday but imparting a bit of what it takes too captain a club from L1 to the premier league.

Which isn't something to be underestimated.

It's really funny. The same people that were pissed off at me for saying who is Zambrano? Who is Burstow? Who is Bedia? Are pissed off we're signing somebody well known. So ironic... We must give unknowns a chance but, God forbid a player that captained a team a team from League One to the Premier League... No! We can't give him a chance not at all...

He's not coming for a 'chance". He's coming as an established pro in his twilight.
As long as the contract reflects than then is no issue for a player of that profile.

But yet I come back to, why him ?

Surely there's others would fill the criteria?

He cut his personal ties to city with certain statements. It's a long way back.

Cooper in as 4th choice CB, he’s a bellend but I imagine he’ll be pretty cheap and he’s played a similar chaotic style under Bielsa.

Cooper I think just said what Leeds fan wanted to hear, by saying what he did. A stupid thing to say, because you never know what the future holds, so don't burn your bridges. However, If he can do a job for us, probably as a back-up CB, then IMO not a bad signing.

If it was 5 years ago I'd agree with you. Not now.

Both Dundees are decent. I watched the Dundee Derby and it was a good standard. I’ve not seen much of Sellars-Fleming and I’m just concerned it might be a loan too soon and he might not get much game time. I’ve only seen him once or twice in short cameos. What type of player is he?
Good standard? You must be easily pleased...I live in scotland and watch loads up here. If you take out the old firm then the rest are league 1 standard.

Perhaps some of Coopers negative comments on leaving were caused by him having been overlooked by Steve Bruce in favour of his son.
Don’t forget Alex Bruse was also at Leeds prior to coming here.
Also yesterday’s MOTM was at Leeds at the start of his career but I don’t sense much hatred towards him.
None of the Brain Team (except A Dawson ...if he has a say] will be aware of the history so there must be some logic to their decision to sign him.

I think as a player, he’s alright. I always felt we shouldn’t have let him go when we did. But, he is way past his best. And he chose to support Leeds when his family support City. That’s a bit of a c*** move when you’re from Hull.
