He got injured shortly after the new deal and by the point of coming back Rosie was here and he didn’t rate him

It was surely unfortunate but can’t have made him crap? 2 city managers now not rated him, I think 2 loans? He’s failed at and struggled to get games, now he finds himself a step further down in league 2.

Considering just how good he was in the championship it really is just nuts. I’m sure I remember who scored had him down as statistically the best LB in the league in the 2nd half of that season.

Things looking up...What chances of all three of them starting at Plymouth? Maybe bench for Burstow and Zam. Hughes starting alongside Jones?

With all this positivity, I'm going to need a lie down.

If Hughes can start, either we have a ****ty team right now and anyone we bring in can be on field and better than what we have, or all the talks about system is just nonsense.

There’s no chance Hughes starts. I’d make a case for Burns though, was seriously impressed with his passing range in the second half.

Burstow is a funny one to me, he’s clearly a good athlete and knows where the back of the net is so it’s a development signing. Really not against having the likes of him and Jarvis as your first choice subs. Starters know, but blood them for the future this season as impact subs. Pace will always be effective off the bench

Have you seen a different stat to the rest of us :)

Didn’t Harry Kane score something like 1 in 15 and ‘stink the place out’ at a very strong Leicester side (much stronger relatively than last seasons struggling Sunderland) in the championship?

Mind to be fair Kane is also **** according to the experts on here.

Harry Kane has as many medals as Mutley. :emoticon-0138-think

As a youngster he scored loads. You don’t lose the ability to score goals. He just needs to adapt to the senior game, which after last season there is a decent chance we benefit from that

hopefully he will
but its zero indication he will at professional level
its completely different levels obviously

most professionals score loads at youth level, its why they make it to this level in the first place

At youth levels teams play to their strikers strengths. Most senior teams just try shoe horn strikers in, it’s why replacing Delap for Rosie’s system would’ve been near impossible as he was such a unique profile of player.

yea but also most dont make it at high levels in the professional game, opponents are at a completely different level to youth football

like i said

we've given burstow a 4 year contract, for relatively cheap, it can only benefit us and him
and lets hope he does have the ability at this level, but hes not shown that yet
potential there though

We are signing him after a season spent adapting so hopefully we benefit from that

but also with a 4 year deal and an option for a +1
would loaning him be the end of the world?

if he doesnt get up to pace this season
i hope he does

i saw him a few times for sunderland and he was a bit ****, but also sunderland were a major ****show last season
like bellingham is way better than he showed also
