But Fleming wasn't going to play anyway and we'll still likely sign another LB.

I just thought it strange to weaken our depth at LB if Giles were going to go - especially without getting someone else in first. (Although given the way we've done our transfer business this window - selling before buying - maybe that isn't out of the question!)

I’m sure if we were to get something close to our money back on Giles, we’d take it and spend quite a bit less on a replacement, who may or may not prove to be a better option.

Jacob did more than OK at the back end of last season, but just hasn't been at the races this season so far.

Hence why I said 'Tim', Jacob had Greaves playing next to him last season, and we also played a very safe style, Tim is trying to encourage faster and braver football, which sadly I think Jacob is struggling with.

It struck me today how chronically short we are in attacking positions. We need another 2/3 at the top end of the pitch. We need a ‘Hughes’ like signing up. Might come in loans.

I'd like us to get a couple of strikers in - along with the lad from Chelsea if Oscar is going - and a winger of Millar's quality for the right hand side

Don’t you remember
We must do all in our power to get players good moves if they don’t want to be here
Forget us getting players in that’s secondary

Baz always says we signed players for less than every other source. £3.5m release clause for Hughes and we pissed about with payment terms? Find it very hard to believe.

Miller has looked OK so far, he definitely adds something, but I guess we were spoiled a bit last season with the likes of Philo Tufan and to a certain degree Delap, who could produce something from nothing. Would be lovely to get a creative forward in.
