8 in 50 in his career. Would like to say he's young, but hes 21. Not exactly old but hes only half a year younger than delap.
... And 6 of those 50 were in league 1... 3 years ago.
Don't like judging a player before he's arrived but this doesn't feel great.
And yes i know he won't be our only striker
From a Sunderland fan here, we also have no prolific striker and need one, but I don’t understate the fact that if I were a club with no striker, I would absolutely not look at Mason Burstow. How the hell his agent has got him another gig at this level, I don’t know. Honestly condolences to Hull fans, Burstow is one of the worst strikers I’ve personally seen, and even despite his goal last season, he almost fluffed it, and would’ve, if not for it hitting a Preston defender. Horrifically shocking player but absolutely nailed on to score against us. Sorry for the rant.
And the way we say it I'll just have a certain ginger, slightly feisty England and Yorkshire wicket keeper/batsman in my head
I remember Preston and Stoke fans saying Delap was ****e. Hopefully Burstow has a similar impact
I don't think it is at all. When it was permanent it was always going to be a young striker who's not done much yet.
You cant really say it’s disappointing when no one has a clue which strikers we’ve actually been chasing.
Don't think he'll end up with quite the status of either Bairstow but we'll see
