On reflection, following Saturday. Get a couple or trio in before the window closes and we'll be okay in that a relegation tussle will not be nailed on, though a top 6 finish will be a hard ask...Still early days and other clubs are hardly breaking the bank for talent, this FFP malarkey is really taking effect. More than I imagined.

Genuinely think if we can battle through August and give ourselves a decent platform then we can be challenging for playoffs. Next 2 games are winnable and Leeds is a free hit by that point. We get the bodies in and go into the international break to reset the clock somewhat we could be ok.

Calcium and Potassium are ELEMENTS – that’s why they are in the periodic table where all the elements are tabulated. If they are combined with other elements – they become compounds some compounds are sometimes referred to as minerals
Minerals can be elements or compounds. It is a different definition. For example, gold, copper, silver minerals can be composed of only one element, which is themselves.

A mineral is a naturally occurring inorganic element or compound having an orderly internal structure and characteristic chemical composition, crystal form, and physical properties.

I'llq be happy with that, good base for next year.

You look at the team at the moment and thr only player that we would lose next year that we'd possibly want to keep is Burns.

If we get another 5 permenant signed up, including Hughes and Zambrano and a striker or 2 then thats basically us having a strong squad at the start of the next transfer window, which is why we've suffered a bit in this one

Agreed. Last year Boro' took 2 points from their first 7 games! They ended up 1 point behind us.

IF we get in some more quality and a bit more depth we could very well kick on after the international break. Especially if we can batten down the hatches through August.

This week will be very telling. We get 2-3 good additions on top of Zambrano and we get 3 points then suddenly the mood shifts

I actually don't get the Leeds free hit thing... I was reading their Leeds live report and it basically said POOR with player ratings topping 6.7/10... sure they'll improve over the next couple of weeks, but sure as hell we will too...

Have a Leeds mate and a Pompey fan from a previous job. Both said Leeds could have been 3 up before Pompey got into it. Lethal attacking players just suspect at the back largely due to Meslier being average

I still dont see TW seeing the game as a free hit Hangout... I would love to see them implode again this year...

Ask a nutritionist what a mineral is

What? Why? Wow – making fact based jokes on this forum sure is tough!

A professional nutritionist - a qualified, clinical nutritionist that has a degree or higher qualification in the subject and doctors understand minerals are chemical compounds. However they will often describe things in a simple ways to help the quick communication with the ‘man in the street’ – They are busy people!

e.g. Sodium Chloride (often known as common salt) and many minerals very fittingly, are In English Grammar classified as a compound words - made up of two parts and with a space in between

So a doctor may say to a long distance runner “you need more Sodium in your diet meaning Sodium Salt. Sodium makes up part of the compound word; Sodium Chloride. A dentist would not ask you to take fluorine (it’s an element) to help your teeth – but says fluoride as it makes up the active part of the chemical compound and compound word; Sodium Fluoride.

If you don’t like the jokes give it a yuck or similar - but because people use quick expressions, or say a pencil has lead in it, it doesn’t mean it is true – and yes I know why people say pencil lead.

Yeah factual stuff doesn't tend to land well with people on here.

Try puns about signing's names. They like those. Or if you're feeling kitschy try comparing something to Norwich or saying you've watched the entire career of some player we're linked with.
