He's told everyone previously he reads all this social media ****e.

This site is bad enough but some of the facebook forums are just constant criticism.

Personally I can't see what more he could have done as an Owner with his limited resources to bring the club success, but half the fans still critical of him for sacking Rosenior.

I really wouldn't blame him for taking a step back.

Not give up on it after two years and not spunk your whole load at once in a season where we were about 15 points behind 4th at the start of January. Take the positive progression of last season as a step in the right direction and either bring in players in January (like Omur) to set us up for a big charge this season or get ready for a proper tilt this summer.

Not sign a few expensive loanees and short term signings and then chuck the sads when we don't go up.

yes... good example of the constant criticism.

I was one of Rosenior’s fiercest critics on here last season. I neither expected nor particularly wanted him to be sacked when he was but I wasn’t opposed to the decision either. However, I was opposed to the inappropriate and unprofessional manner that Acun conducted himself during the Q&A when he criticised individual players by name and rambled on incoherently. A lot of City supporters on social media, whether they were opposed or in favour of Rosenior’s sacking, were quite critical of Acun and how he handled himself after that and I think that was a blow to his ego.

I would wager it was mostly the reaction on social media that hurt his ego more than anything else.
Maybe but he’s sold 16k memberships this season, so it’s not like they’ve turned against him.
Also he’s sold 16k and it’s all been low key by acun standards

I'm still convinced a lot of people signed on because they assume by Deadline Day we'll have a great squad and some will stop going if we're battling relegation.

tan was in London the other day going by his Instagram

I’ve been quite critical of Kesler this summer but I also understand he’s in a really difficult position as well. His official role is vice-chairman but he’s been the de facto Director of Football and Head of Recruitment since Darnbrough left this summer and probably some other responsibilities that have been dumped on him. This isn’t really a good way to run a football club. Darnbrough leaving and not being immediately replaced with another full-time Head of Recruitment (with Kesler picking up his duties instead) is a huge red flag for me.

I felt similar to you to be honest. I wasn’t a fan of Rosie’s style of play at all at home, I personally found it dull as dishwater and wasn’t fussed when he got sacked.

The Q&A was a shambles though. I genuinely think that was the moment Acun thought ‘sod this’ due to the reaction he got. I think he expected to be gives a King’s welcome and it just didn’t happen.

He can’t have got to where he’s got to in life and kept everyone happy, he’ll have made decisions in life that have pissed some off.
The good thing about football is we are all fickle. He signs a decent striker tomorrow….all is forgiven

wasn't at the q&a and by the club not reshowing it just proved that it didn't sit well

Theres 2 sides to this

1 is that the criticism to this point is perfectly valid. We’ve been told to keep the faith that a squad will be assembled and frankly there’s not a lot of evidence to suggest the desire to get serious players in other than a few rumours. The 3 on here that have been credible before are saying how alarmingly quiet it is. We’ve lost our head of recruitment who would’ve helped negotiate deals and Tan and the Brain team are running the shop. It’s not been great. Meanwhile Fener are bringing in high profile manager, high profile names and he’s publicly speaking about them.

The second is, and I can’t stress this enough, he’s a grown ****ing man with a multi million wealth. I’d heard rumours he’s partial to a yes man around him. But he should also be aware criticism will come.

If he genuinely thought he’d walk into that Q&A slate a bunch of players and walk out to a standing ovation then I don’t know what to say. Only that it kind of stacks that the man doesn’t like criticism. It happened at Shelbourne and it happened at Fortuna.

Something is off

He took the criticism on the chest following it though I’d argue.
