Acun is the master of PR, he loves publicity and he loves to promote his businesses, tv shows, projects etc. I feel Acun has moved City to the backburner this summer, Fenerbahce is his big love and becoming a vice president there is major achievement for him.

Acun and the Fenerbahce President Ali Koc are very good friends, losing the biscuit king billionaire Murat Ulker as a sponsor - without an explanation why McVities aren't sponsoring us anymore - interesting times ahead for the Tigers. I suspect Acun's burner account has been busy this close season, gauging the opinions of the City Faithful and also seeding information to the fans. Maybe City will go the same way as Fortuna Sittard, Shelbourne...Acun's projects that didn't quite work out.

So the training ground development was all a lot of hot air then, and the one family. He had a go at promotion, we didn’t pull it off. He lost interest. We’ve also just sold our two best assets. Feel like some will have had the wool pulled over our eyes a bit. At least I’m a cynic and a pessimist at heart. In some ways we’re in a better situation than when Allan’s left, but then we had no debt and low running costs.

He doesn't have the temperament to be successful in football. He's far too chaotic, and his footballing decision-making has been so poor.

I think if he does sell, it'll be done quickly and he'll be gone overnight

Well I messaged Tully after he posted that tweet to ask him what it’s about. He mentioned the release is £5m and we are at about £4.5m for a bid.

He mentioned that Mehlem is a Walter signing and the brain team are dragging on with signings for whatever reason. Mentioning the McVities deal pulling out hasn’t helped.

I know I’ve spoken with you in messages so it’s all really odd right now. Something doesn’t sit right

It was if Acun etc aren't interested anymore and aren't going to back him. Nothing makes sense at the moment

Losing McVities is a strange one but it’s not a make or break deal. It was less than £2m a season and Safiport won’t have got it for free either.

Something does seem off. Everything is really, really quiet.

A week to go until the season starts. What a mess.

I'm looking forward to months of 'no one will buy us, it's the eleventh hour, the deadline for a sale has passed, there's nothing to sell, be careful what you wish for, better the devil you know, Pearson is part of a consortium, hallelujah we're saved kiss the new owners arse' guff. I agree. I think he was incredibly frustrated we didn’t make the play-offs last season and he doesn’t have the patience to keep backing us. Last season really was **** or bust.

I also think he didn’t expect the sacking of Rosenior to be so contentious and divisive. I think the reaction to Rosenior’s sacking and the Q&A by some supporters really hurt his ego and he’s sulking now. Once he realised he wasn’t unconditionally adored by City supporters and joined the board at Feberbahçe, his priorities have massively shifted.
