Can’t say I’m not a little gutted about Asante. Limited or not, I’d have him straight in the team over what we’ve currently got. It’s abit of a no brainer for him if Cov closer and paying more money. We’ll have other targets which I’m sure we’re working on but he seems a safe bet who at the very least, suited the system and had the legs for it.

It's embarrassing again. There's got to be discussions internally about whether a mistake was made firing LR. We've got no pulling power anymore.

As a club, we look chaotic, it's all well and good saying we finished 7th but most that squad is gone and we're threadbare
This Asante thing... it was said he didnt want to leave WBA. The club decided it seems. Then all of a sudden he doesnt have to move house (perhaps) maybe a slight increase in offer... what more are our club supposed to do!!..

Maybe stick to your motto of “we only want players that want to be here” and maybe check with the lad first

It's just another embarrassing situation as he was at the game last night.

So let's change it slightly.... If it was you and you'd been offered a new job that would take you out the region you lived, you'd move your family etc and you'd gone up to their head office to see it and meet people etc. Then afterwards another company offered you the same job paying slightly more, they're based in your current region and you wouldn't have to move or see your family less, what would you do? Would you class it as embarrassing etc.

What's embarrassing is people thinking because LR has gone we have no pulling power anymore. Money, location, etc all talk and are way more influenencial then LR is or was. Do you honestly believe moore and the wba lad would have given up more money and a better location for their family just to play for LR and a system that on evidence isn't fantastic for forwards

Considering 10+ players said themselves they came here last season to play the style I would say there’s a fair chance they might, yes.

Seen this said a few times, but I didn't see any pictures (did see a piture of Mehlem). Was he actually there?

just seen this:

Out of order that Assante sent Cyrus Christie in his place whilst he was livin' it up in Coventry.

Surely, he must have known that we'd all have realised if Cyrus had signed up pretending to be him?

Asante must think coventry are far more.likely to get promoted than us
Premier league will be his dream

He would move in a heartbeat if he believed in us

Players not wanting to move house is just ****ty pr spin

We can pretend all we like but we cant convince players of our.project

If only we played the style they were sold before singing then we'd most likely would have been in the play off. Plus let's be honest...what player is going to say any different and just say, "yer I came because of the money and or my parent club advised me to come here for game time"

Did LR have pull, of course as he's a very likeable person. Was he the reason we got the players we did.....no
