It was the start. The club have decided to revamp everything in one go and its a massive risk. By their own design they had a bloated squad that needed culling and I suppose job done in the department. The powers that be wanted a change at management and did that. Doing either one of these in an off season is risky. Doing both is beyond silly. Acun wont rock up to the Bristol game and I bet Tim wont be here for long at this rate
Tim wont walk But he and his 2 staff that came.over aswell Will be extremely pissed off Im targetting 20th as a success still
These things sometimes happen, but as other have said, having 2 now pinched from under our nose doesn't look good. It's happen in the past, Campbell and Ayala from Liverpool I remember was agreed and then he went elsewhere. As OLM says, there needs to get a couple of deals done and dusted quickly to avoid a total melt down of the fan base and bring back some credibility. It is starting to look that Liam's influence in getting players onboard was more important than most realised.
Sadly Barry has confirmed the bad news regarding the lad from West Brom. Can Jonny Ayre still put a pair of boots on for us.
This cant be true. GLP said last night the guru of West Brom had confirmed it was a done deal, he even knew the price and everything. Coventry are lying!
Firstly, yes of course the club is a bit of a state at the minute when it comes to planning/PR. But, if we get gazumped it’s two choices - either: Wanting us to pay more to stand a chance of making the signing Or Leaving it. In the case of Keiffer Moore and Assante, personally, I’m glad we left it. Perhaps, with other players, I’ll have a different feeling.
Like most of those twitter accounts mate they are virgins sat in their mums back bedroom desperately trying to be relevant whilst looking at their Fabrizio Romano posters and counting how many likes they have got on twitter.
It's DJ Campbell like..."I'm just nipping out for a bite to eat..." Never to be seen in this parish ever again... Solution just thrust a contract at em and make them an offer they can't refuse!
I think it’s interesting that Seri nearly didn’t come but Arun persuaded him by selling him the dream. In the words of Lindisfarne, “Hey Mr Dreamseller, where have you been?” Though I don’t think the answer in Meet Me On The Corner was to Fenerbahce.
Are we still taking the moral high ground on the bed wetting or are we allowed to get the protective sheets out?
People criticised the board for overspending the last few summers and leaving us in the current state but also want us to overspend on singular players when we have a full squad to build with limited resources…right. Do we need players? Absolutely. But by upping to what Coventry bid we run the risk of not being able to sign a higher quality squad player down the line. WBA ITK has already said they’ve offered a better financial package for them. Providing the board lower expectations I’m not fussed on missing out on players that we refuse to overpay for.
Pick me, pick me, I know this one. Its answer B, MONEY!!!!! I don't know what's happened, but not getting dragged into bidding wars over wages is good. We move on. And as you say, just hinders us later on with other squad members.
