Keep seeing talk of DMs and Simons playing at the base apparently. But on Saturday I didn't see that. Simons was making forward runs all over and no one in midfield really stayed deep. It wasn't the 4-3-3 shape that Walter has been said to play.

Walter’s system is very fluid with everyone rotating all of them time. McLoughlin was up front several times from open play! I’d say out of possession Simons was the deepest midfielder though

When we have the ball it’s not 4-3-3 but when we defend, Simons is the mobile one who’s capable of covering all the space we give up. He was excellent at doing so as well

New DM seems good, mature age, loads of games for his age, U19 national team selection, German, I suppose it means requested by Tim himself.

I don't have access WyScout anymore but he seems like a player with high motor, decent touch and passing, very similar to Slater.

Why wouldn’t he? He’s got just as much chance of getting injured as anybody else. Assuming Darmstadt’s medical team aren’t useless, he’s going to be fine.
Reading he spent half of last season out injured, my cynical long suffering City fan brain kicked into gear! Hopefully it's nothing and he's over whatever it was anyway

was a broken leg. Obviously a nasty injury at the time but not something you’d expect to affect him long term
