Hang on, if you are referring to Toast, he was practically dragged onto this forum this morning and bully forced to spill his guts about a new striker signing today.

Then those people on here, the scum venal, had the temerity to ask him about it. Pecking his head like a cruel bird - on the hour – every hour.

Toast will have the last laugh when we finally do sign that unspecific striker at some point this season.

I shouldn’t laugh but he did almost say that.
Howden will be on soon telling us a deal for a player is very close definitely before the 31of August

Oh how quickly they grow up.

I get told stuff, I pass on what I think I can pass on without crossing the line I'm told not to cross. I mean mental health wise, I should just keep the info to myself because even though I know nothing I'm told is nailed on, it's me that gets the flack from you lot if it doesn't happen. Yet I do it anyway, partly because I know there's a lot of anxiety about signings and there isn't much anybody can do about it, but mostly because like any other human, it doesn't feel good to know stuff and not share it when it's important to a lot of people. My mate knows this, he knows what I'm like (ADHD be damned) and he's already told me he doesn't tell me anything vastly important because he knows I can't keep it to myself. So what I am told I know I can share and yeah, I'm told more than I do share on here, but when you're chatting with somebody you've known for two decades, you tend to get lax in casual moments and spill more than you should. Nevertheless, I've always respected the line he drew when he first started telling me stuff and I've only crossed it once and got into trouble in the 2016/17 season.

This transfer window hasn't been brilliant for fans because it looks inactive, it makes the friendlies against bigger opponents a waste of time for the club and for the players because these games shouldn't just be about minutes in the legs, they should be tactical matches against tough opposition that allow us to find mistakes and rectify them. So I understand that people are angsty, they want to see progress because the current squad is weaker than the last one and would be shot to bits.

But if we're getting into messenger shooting, put me against the wall and pull the trigger. From now on, I'll just do it via DM.

Unlike a few on here mate, any snippets are welcome, alas there will always be those who scrutinise every word and wait eagerly to try to get one up on those passing such info on. But I don't blame you if ya wish to keep schtum, and leave them to their sniping
