The kid is a rookie. It's a good deal for us. Don't get excited by the market prices
Greaves didn’t have to force a move, he was always going to be sold as he was our most valuable asset.
It would have been interesting to see what he would have done if the club wanted to retain him and tried to block him leaving though.
Lad at my work is good friends with a player. Was watching the Switzerland game with them at Triton Inn. Said that Greaves wanted another crack but club was forcing it through.
Greaves was moving his stuff out his house ages ago. He knew he was gone, not forcing a move and not wanting to leave are 2 different things. He didn’t force it because he’s a good guy who respects what we’ve done for him, but he absolutely wanted to be playing premier league football this season
Still there was only one club that wanted him, so he’s only just managed it
