Villa have played a right game here sending players out on buy back schemes. Was this done with the motive of creating FFP headroom?
if they'd loaned him out....they'd have got a couple of mil fee as it is they've paid us 6 to 8m for him to play a season for us

I think the quoted figure of £15m with add ons for a left footed English centre half is pretty poor. He’s nowhere near reached his potential yet. £20m plus add ons would have been much better.

It’s annoying because we have developed him from a youngster and gave him the time on the pitch, he’s going to go to Ipswich for a year and they’re going to make 2-3x the amount off him that we have.

Such is life.

In your opinion.

The Greaves deal of £15m up front and £3m guaranteed add ons is a good one. Add a hefty sell on and again even better.

Realistically what better were we going to get? An extra £2m? We need players now, the club is in this position self inflicted, they can’t hang around to get us out of it for the sake of a couple million

Even Mike White is soiling his pantaloons.
I’d love him to get an interview with Acun instead of Baz. Miles better at asking the tough questions, even though I don’t particularly think he’s a great journalist.

We need an interview with Tan not Acun. I want him as far away from the media as possible in all honesty now. I truly believe we have a competent recruitment team, I just think he wants to be involved too much and I imagine it’ll only get worse now because of the Fenerbache position he’s got himself

Tried to stay positive but tonight has been the final straw, as it seems to be for a lot of people.

Been ignoring it all with the Euros, but a rude awakening awaits on Monday morning.

Where's this competent recruitment team? As it seems like it's more hope than based on track record

Well they built a team that finished 7th last season so they’re doing something right?

Where the issue lies is long term planning, not the ability to find a good player that’s a good fit for systems we are playing.
