Saints fans here .....

What do you guys make of him after his loan spell? I assume the fact you want to re-sign him suggests he had a good season for you.
Nah, he was rubbish....Leave well alone...always injured...terrible attitude...always in the pub....always chasing skirt..always late for training...Do yourselves a favour and give him a body swerve..I kid you not.

I suppose it would depend on how the deal was structured. If it was say, 5+3 in instalments and another 2 upon promotion, 10m is manageable for a player that could be a 20m player by the time he’s polished up.

That would only affect our cash flow. If we did sign him on at 10m on a 4 year deal it would be spread evenly on the contract for purposes of FFP/PSR

I think the most we’ll spend on a player is £5 million MAX, I don’t see any £10 million players coming in, regardless of how much money we have/make, even spread of X years.

ABSOLUTLEY DEAD RIGHT about undervaluing our players... Chelsea have just spent £19 million on an 18 year old lad capped twice for England's under 20's called Kellyman , he's played 6 times for Villa. What does that make Philogene worth let alone an EFL player of the year (position) worth... I hope Acun has big cahoooona's and holds out for big money. Greaves is a CB, they are rarer than hens teeth, then double that being left footed...

We are in a different situation though
We have to sell to be able to spend anysort of what we will need

I hope we sell them asap though
Its no good to us if we dont sell them until august or somewhere

We don’t need to sell, we’ve just offloaded 3/4 of the team. We will have plenty in the pot to replace them.

Chelsea, Villa and Everton in this last week are selling each other their academy players at over inflated prices to ease the psr/ffp by the end of the month

He can score. He’s scored 40 goals in 95 league appearances for Lugano.
I know but Lugano finished as one of top teams in league for last couple of years, my striker evaluation goes like this:

Top team: scored around 2/3 of total matches
Mid team: scored around 1/2 of total matches
Relegation team: scored around 1/3 of total matches

I can understand if people think differently, nothing against it, that's just my criteria.

Chelsea and Villa needed to sell too, they were just as desperate to free up headroom as us.
