For me, his head wasn't in the right place, the expression 'head turned' seemed to say it all. As such, I honestly dont see him getting back to the levels of the first half of last season. Maybe it was down to coaching, who knows. I think we should cash in as long as its a significant number. He is not ready for the Premier league for me. Needs another year of being coached. Very entertaining but very frustrating young man. His lack of awareness of his options when he has the ball at his feet sets him way back from the likes of Bowen who would be the type of player he needs to win a shirt from if he went to West Ham. He also looked to have lost his confidence by the end of the season which is a temporary issue but another indication he has some growing to do.
Or, if he stays, maybe he'll thrive under Walter? For me, his head wasn't in the right place, the expression 'head turned' seemed to say it all. Every manager from the bottom half of the Prem down would fancy him and fancy their ability to get him right. He is a real talent but I dont think he is West Ham level and probbaly would struggle to play week in week out for any Premier League team which is what he needs right now. Minutes every week, multiple challenges and a coach who is willing to be patient with him. That counts for us as fans too. If he plays for City next year the expectation of him beating 4 players each and every time he gets the ball is not helpful to his development. For me, his head wasn't in the right place, the expression 'head turned' seemed to say it all. Could be possible, none stop attack wont hurt him. More touches, more chances to beat a man and try a trick. Confidence is high, fans excited. Personaly if it was my lad or I was his agent I would be saying stay put for 6 months.Or, if he stays, maybe he'll thrive under Walter?

If either Jacob or Jadon moving out allows us to bring Delap back in on a permanent deal with cash to spare, personally I have no issue with that.
I think the chances of delap back next season are very slim now
Controversial
But im not that bothered now about delap, he will cost what, 10m+? thats far too much of an outlay for a club like us without prem money
We have walter

Couldn't agree more ST.Yeah, definitely. With a full pre season behind him, it's a no brainer because he knows the style already and wouldn't need time to settle in.
Do southampton want to stay up?
They have armstrong who cant score at that level
Che adams
And delap?
Che Adams is more than good enough to play in the Premier League. I don't think Delap would be their only forward signing, they'd want him as an impact option to begin with.

Think he's more suited to Walterball than Rosieball.Depends how we’re going to play.
For Roseyball, it’s a hard no. If we’re going to attack with pace and counter when the opportunity to is on, definitely.
